Anyone who says that their stock V6 F150 can beat ANY vehicle other than a Focus, Aveo, or Prius is lying through their teeth.

My stock V6 can go fast enough to get a ticket anywhere in the country. That's plenty fast. It hits the speed limiter in 4th, never mind 5th.

my v6 has an af1, exhaust, and vmp tune and i can beat my friends 4.7L chevy, and he has an exhaust and tune. and i WOULD hit my speed limiter in 3rd gear if i had a speed limiter

 

im 16 and i have a v6, i could really care less if my truck is fast.



girls dont like fast anyway, you'll be dead before they even notice your truck hits anything over 100.

my truck has flowmasters on it, doesnt sound like a v8 but its very deep. it doesnt even matter to me, i could care less.

i get about 20 - 22 mpg in my truck too, and thats even when i decide to slide corners or do a few burnouts.

get the v6, you'll thank me for the money in gas mileage you save.

 

i agree my new dodge 4.7 and a six speed gets 15 -16 mpg and my 6 cylinder ford still gets 20 - 22 mpg even w/ 195000 miles HARD miles on it!

his block was built for like 1000+ hp i beleive.


that guy is insane, his truck is crazy heavy, and still can keep up with the stocker lightnings.

VANDALLFOOTBALL- If you really need a truck to haul your sh*t around in (dirtbike, quads, tools, equiptment) then buy a used truck with a V8. Save ur money and dont slap a bunch of pointless EXPENSIVE mods on a HEAVY truck even if it has a 5.4L V8. In the long run you can save $Thousands$ of dollars and put that towards a Fast Car. I know im really contradicting because I've moded out my truck and plan to keep doing so, but im just trying to help you make the right choice and not get screwed in 5 years when you say to yourself damn I shouldn't have spent all this money on my truck. Do a lot of research!

 

I beat a stock dodge ram quad cab 2wd with a 4.7/auto 02-05 body. I also beat a stock ford scab 2wd with a 4.6/auto, and it was a 97-03 body style.
Me and the dodge were comletely stock, and when I raced the f150 we both had exhaust. I think my 4.2/manual does alright for a truck.

I prefer acceleration over top speed. Most cars these days can go 100mph, its no big deal.
