Whenever my friends make fun of my truck and ask where "F-150" comes from, I like to say: "That means it does 150 in Fourth gear"

When they try to say the same for their Dodge Ram 1500 or Silverado 1500, I tell them that thats how many miles it will go before breaking down x2!

Ok dont listen to this guy, doin all that crap to a truck V6 is just like doin all that crap to a Honda Civic. You will spend a ton of cash and still get smoked by a guy with a V8. Get the V6, and save all that mod money cause when gas hits $4 a gallon youll need it just to get from point A to point B. Cause the faster you go, the more gas they drink.

No thats ok. I have the same argument with some of my friends here. One bought a VW with the V6 in it, spent $7000 plus dollars to make it "fast". He ended up with a car that cost him $28k that still wasnt as fast as the 05 GTO I bought for $29k. AND he kept blowing clutches. So its much easier to spend money on a faster stock car (that will have a warranty) than to get a pooch and drop a bunch of money into it just to be beat by a faster V8!

There's a big difference between a front wheel driver and a rear wheel driver... a lot.

It's funny you should mention this... I had a guy back in high school that swore to me up and down that front wheel drive was the best possible choice and gave me a slew of reasons.

Now he's telling me rear wheel drive is by far the best.

Jeez... I could of told him that way back when in high school with my F150 and I did a 15 degree u-turn while whipping the rear end out.

Unless he really does believe that the K&N adds that much power, me thinks he has the 4.6 HP/TQ numbers down...

And how fast can a V-6 go? Not fast at all.

What I can't understand is why people buy small engine cars and want BIG performance out of them and still keep their gas saving abilities. In such is why VTEC was engineered; to save gas.

But if someone wants to be laying 500 FWHP out on their Honda hatchback, then that gas economy is going to go in the toilet.

Like you need to use gas to make hp. A 500 HP i4 will suck just as much gas as with a 500 HP v8.

Doesn't strike me to be "smart" to spend X amount of dollars in a i4, when you can get it out of a big block with a lot less work. Not to mention having a REAL drivetrain that puts all that power to the rear wheels.
