That looks good! I have some extra Lightning parts laying around from a blower swap I did. If you need and pieces let me know and I'll see what all is left. I know for a fact there's a blower case, snout, and factory pulley - just no rotor pack.

They were pretty bad for sure, but I loved the stance. Just wish it could have stayed there safely. Once the bags and pump are installed she'll be done. Onto slamming the Lightning after that.

Yeah, I wish I could go another inch lower and have another 2+" of travel along with it

Exclamation

The other thing I was thinking is pull the silly front drivelines until winter when I need them, then crank it back up. Something to think about.

Lol. I think we have all said it. But I have never seen such a straight shiny body before, damn.
I got the 20's I had on mine for like $600 with like new tires. Just paid $700 for my 22's with decent tires.

Coobies, I almost think your truck would sit perfect with 18" 2003-04 Lightning wheels with the white lettered tires. A wider tire and about the sidewall you have now. Kind of a sporty street look that would fit the color nicely

That is what I've been wanting for the longest time, I love the 03-04 L wheels with some meat on them. I almost bought a friends set, but they were powder coated black and his truck was totaled soon after.

OK, I've been reading all these pages of posts and I am confused with all the different information. I want to lower my 2005 FX4 3'' in front and 5'' in back.
The back seems straightforward: remove 2'' blocks, install 3'' shackles, 2WD U bolts, 2 WD shocks.
What is the best and cheapest way to lower the front 3''? Bell Tech has 2'' lowering shocks, what about the additional 1''?
After lowering 3'' and 5'', will I need to do an alignment and pinion angle adjustment front and back?
Thank you for the input, just want to make sure I do this right.

You're better off to do BT drop struts in the front, and a flip in the rear with some good shocks. The front is the only thing that might give you trouble. With a 3" drop in the front you get 4" since the 2wd struts have a 1" difference from 4wd. With mine dropped 4" here's what my axles looked like. I guess you could run with those angles, but I chose not to. Yes on an alignment, and yes on pinion angle. If you run a DJM flip you don't have to use shims for the pinion angle, and can manually adjust the angle. If you want 3" in the front - just get the 2wd struts and set them up for 2" lowering and that'll get you to 3".

I used BT struts for a 2wd part# 25001, BT Street Perf shocks part# 2212EE on the rear, DJM 4" flip.

The pics show the 2wd struts at 3" drop and a DJM 5" flip. It's been raised some, but I don't have current pics yet.

SwayzeCrazy, another question:
For the rear, to drop 4'', can I remove the 2'' blocks and install 2'' BT lowering shackles?
