Might wanna update the tools list and let everyone know that the 30mm socket will need to be deep well also.

30mm sockets are sort of deep by nature. The large size of a 'standard' socket is deep enough for this application.

I notice that the rear blocks for the 09-11 4x4 don't have a bump stop on them like some other block brands. Anything to be concerned about?

Not true, I had one that didn't fit at all... not even close. Had to go out and buy a deep-well while doing it.

Any tips you can provide on how the install is different for a 09?

Thanks,
Bubba

Just wanted to thank the OP for the great write up. I've done a few leveling kits over the years on other vehicles but nice to see an easy to follow write up.

I do have a question though.

Does anyone know the exact heights of the front spacers for how much lift? And does it vary from year to year of the F150's?

I know they arent a 1 to 1 ratio so knowing for example a 1 3/4" tall spacer will give you 3" of lift, would be nice to know. It would especially be good info to have in case the busy ebay sellers send you the wrong size and without this info, you dont find out till after the install.

Thanks

Bubba,

With the 09+, you have to remove the forward, lower control arm bolt at the frame. You need that extra flexibility to get the lower strut bolt to line up. It takes an extra couple seconds of work, but it is no issue for the install.

Thanks for the Great write up TXST8tj. I just purchased my first real truck two weeks ago and love it. I think I will take on the AS 2" or 2.5" leveling kit job as soon as I have time. I am somewhat reluctant to take apart a new truck but they look so good leveled out. After reading all of the posts, I understand that I should measure the truck on a level surface for the exact lift I need. TXST8tj, am I correct that the only difference from your write up compared to a 2012 screw FX4 is that I will need to disconnect the front UCA to frame bolt? Has anyone installed an AS 2" or 2.5" kit on a 2012 screw FX4? If so, could you post a picture for me to compare?

Thanks
John

Oops. I mean disconnect the LCA to frame bolt.
