Got a crack on the driver's side. I spoke to a gentleman that retired from Ford Body shop and asked him about that. He had mentioned to me that there was a recall on that but it is now over. I have the truck scheduled for recall service and will ask about the cracks.

I have a 1999 F150 SC and cracks are present on both *********g doors! It sounds like my loss too, since Ford obviously hasn't done anything about this for the other 29 pages of F150online members.

120,000 miles and rust on the bottoms too. The scary part is that I wash my truck twice a week....imagine what it would looks like without a wash that often!

I just got my 1997 XLT , 3 door, 4.6, 2 WD. and power windows last week. I came on here to look up the spitting spark plug problem and read this . Well I have a cracks on both doors about 1/4 inch long . Do they get bigger ? The truck is nine years old and has close to 200,000 k on it . The cracks may have been there for years .... I don't see any rust ....

2000 F150 had since new with 116000 miles. Crack on driverside been there for 3 years. Clean and put touch up paint on periodically to keep from rusting.
