Small crack on drivers door, same place as others. No rust. I bought it used and had no idea that it was so common on these truck until this thread.

 

Crack on driver's side door 1997 4x4 XLT SuperCab about 1/8" long.

Also, have slight rust at the bottom edge of the driver's door and at the bottom edge of the small passenger's side third door.

 

I have a small crack on the drivers door and not sure about the passenger side.The truck has 350,000 km's but the crack has been there for a long time.97 SC 4X4 F-150...Well used!

 

good news, i heard the door cracks got fixed after 2000. They are more common on the power windows because the window motor is stronger then your arm. I asked my sales men at the dealership body shop.

 

00 Work truck...both doors cracked (and rusting)

 

2000 F-150 X-cab. Both doors cracked, fixed once and cracked again. Absolutley takes away from an otherwise great looking truck.

 

1999 F150 210,000 miles....crackes both doors.

 

97 with cracks on both doors

 

'99 drivers side. Thought it was just a small scratch 'til I got up close to it. You can't see it unless youre within a foot of it.

I have a 97 with the crack on the drivers door.

I haven't searched the entire thread yet, but I'm interested to know if some of you are repairing it yourself, how your going about it.

98 Cracks on both sides.

 

1999 with 129000 miles just found a crack on the driver side door!

 

My 2000 lariat I just sold was cracked. Work in a body shop and have seen quite a few with cracked doors. Mainly the drivers door.

 

My '97 Lariat has a crack on both doors in the exact same place. The crack is about half an inch long and it starts at the bottom-right side of the window.
