Ugh. One of those times man. We got an 04 Expy for Mrs PD and she loves it. My truck is AFU at the moment. It refused to shift into OD on the way home from work Friday so I locked out OD and drove from Lynnhaven to Ocean View SCREAMIN' down the road at 3700rpms. It was cold and I had no patience, so I figured I'd drive it home or ride it to a stop as far down the road as she'd go. Looking at my options on fixing it now. Unfortunately it looks like sucking up the 3,500-4k hit from Ford is my quickest/best option at the moment. Other'n that I've been great! LOL I got a new job as well, same house though.

Aww man that sucks. Sorry to hear that. Yea 3700K rpm's will help in sucking down the gas too.... That's a big chunk of change to fix it too. Good luck with it, and I hope you find a cheaper solution. Where is your new job? What are you doing? My wife works down in Va Beach, and she has to do that ride every day, and I get about 3 calls every evening on her bitching about traffic and the tunnel. Anyway, glad to hear from you and good luck with the truck.

Hey Joey, I have heard of them, but have no idea if they still meet there are not. I don't see where they would have the room to meet with the parking lot being as packed as it always is....

It was just a small group then and i enjoyed it but with me living so far out it got to be a pain to go to the meetings. Yeah that mall was bumper to bumper people Sat. afternoon. We didn't stay long and headed to Bass Pro Shops(My Favorite store).

Yea, I love Bass Pro too. I could spend all day in there, and my paycheck.

I used to work in Bass Pro. It's really not that fun when you have to work there.

I'm working out by Lynnhaven mall doing some V&V (verification and validation) on some crazy software. It is mind numbingly boring so far. They're sending me to San Diego for a week next month so we'll see how it goes.

I was going to get a Monster Box and have that dropped in the truck, but it takes 5-6 weeks for them to build one and ship it out. The alternative is to drop my trans, send it to them, and have them send it back. I don't have the luxury of time roght now so it's off to Ford tomorrow to get my butt raping and remanufactured trans. I picked up my rental tonight at the airport...an effin Hyundai.

Whats up everyone, kinda new to this site. I'm in Va Beach and drive a 98 Extended cab flareside 4x4. Nothin special about it for now. I used to spend alot of time over at Explorerforum.com but sold my Explorer that had about 7" of lift.

First off as far as mods I only have dual exhaust and a K&N filter, I was thinkin about a Bauman Engineering Shift kit and either an Edge Evo. or an SCT XCal II programer. Then I was also thinkin about a body lift and wheel spacers ( I already have 285's on stock wheels and I like the wheels)

So those are my plans thus far, let me know what ytou think.
Take care

Roul, do you by chance have a car with the license plate beginning and ending in "R"? If not, I'll tell you why later.

No, that's sounds like a personal plate, don't have any of those.
I have a F150, Windstar, 4Runner and a BMW.

I do have an interesting license plate though.
I had my last truck for 14 years and then transferred the plates to this truck 8 years ago.

Every year the DMV bill states "don't you want a new plate?".

My plate has 22 stickers on it going back to 1985 !

Cool, that's funny. The reason I asked was because a couple of days ago I was on the way home from work (CG Base) and was sitting beside a Honda Accord with the plate reading: RAOULER

I just thought it was funny and sounded like something you came up with...

Man, I wished I worked at the CG base, what a great place that must be to work.

We go out there for Sunday brunch on special occasions.
I do a lot of biking back in there, I'll have to keep an eye open for that Honda.
