A little hostile? I wake up a little hostile, it only gets worse with each successive person I have to deal with. I took my truck back today. Not becuase it was done, but becuse I'm sick and fawkin tired of dealing with this shiat.
I had the repain the side because there was some trash in the paint and two "birdseyes" in it as well. Well guess what, they fixed the ones on the side, now I have a patch of them, yes a patch of them, on the rear of the bed under the tail light. I also have a bump (reverse dent?) on the tailgate under the Ford symbol. Not sure HTF the drunken monkeys managed that one. There is no way to physically get inside of the tailgate to do it. It takes a special kind of "spehshul" to do that. To top it off the Ford emblem was not properly cut from the sheet, you can see where the flashing was broken off after the molding process. I refused to continue to keep swapping problem for problem. They also did not replace my exhaust tip even though it was written up on the original estimate.
To top it off I had the rental truck for 67 days. Plus two days that I had another one. That 67 days cost the insurance company over $2,646. To say that I'm angry with this whole process is an understatement. I have found a whole new class of people who deserve to be tied to a 2x12 and fed feet first into an industrial woodchipper.

Wow man, when you couldnt think it could get any worse it did. Sorry to hear that.
but the insurance company will still cover the rental fee right
ande good luck on the next try

There will be no more next time. When I said I took it back I meant that I got it back from the body shop. I was just tired of dealing with the crap. It just amazes me the stupid crap that they do to people. It infuriates me to know that they get away with so much crap as well. I feel that I was owed my vehicle in as close as a pre-accident condition as a professional body shop can render it. I do not consider trash in paint (easily visible) fiberglass visible in paint, and friggin BUMPS, as in outward dents as large as a DIME to be "prifessional". I think that with a little practice I could have done just as good of a job as their professional painter. That is a sad testament to his skill or lack of caring right there hoss!
I'll post pics if I think to get some tomorrow before it gets dark.

Hey fellas! I've been out of the game for a while. Pony I see you are getting the shaft from those retards....eh? Good luck man. it's hard to get good customer service from anyone these days.......lazy bastards!
Sorry for the delay guys, been busier than a lone hooker in a foreign port.
These pictures were taken in a shadow so they do not fully show the blemishes in all their glory.
This spot of whatever in the paint is about the size of a dime, though the high point tis but a speck.

These black dots are supposedly fibers from the new bedside, they're sticking straight up from the bed and through the paint. I guess modern bodywork has yet to figure out how to deal with these things. I originally had the truck repained because there were two of these visible on the PS of the bed, along with some trash in the paint (A huge pet peeve of mine). These are obviously centered under the tail light. They're at least out of the way. By the time I took the truck back (I was tired of dealing with these people) I had been in a rental for 70 days.

that blows...Its kind of like when i got my truck back the one side of the front bumper was lower than the other....You would think a BODY SHOP would notice a little problem like that....GUESS NOT...
O well, so its all over with now right?

Yes it's all over. At least for this go-round. I hope there's a special place in hell for the assclowns that are in the insurance and body work business. "Good enough" does not cover it. If I wanted "good enough" repairs done to my vehicle I'd do them myself. It took several tries for these guys to get my bumper almost right. What pisses me off is that they can't adjust it anymore and it's still not "right". HTF do they consider that repaired? I would love to drive that truck up someones a$$ and set it on fire, starting with the fat old adjuster. I've got some adjustment for him. And to hell with Auto-Owners Inc Co too.
I bought a $300 1995 Saturn with a spun bearing or something to fix up and drive around. If I ever have an accident in that thing it's getting totaled, no questions asked.

Had a pump station malfunction across the street a few days ago. [Joe Dirt] My poor truck got hit with the poopy water.[/Joe Dirt]
Luckily there are no brown spots on it.
The city was on it within 15 minutes of me calling, props to them. I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. :santa:
