Superfords ready to lay it down!!
Whatever Jim
. I'm not going to get into one of your internet pissing matches.
You know why you post STD numbers, and even though people on this board complain about when you do it, you still continue to do so. Your customers are used to seeing STD numbers, so I posted the numbers for those people who's vendors here on this board are posting STD numbers. Those two vendors happen to be you and JL, so that's what I wrote. If you took offense to that statement, maybe you should just stop doing it.

It would be nice if JDM and JLP would show up on the boards more often and answer customer's and non-customer's questions like Sal does. Seems they mostly show up to brag or spin threads like this one.

Heres one of Bill Jayne's Dyno sheets SAE numbers @ 695, the same pull made 707 STD. This was with 30" biased slicks. You can see the dip in the beggining of the run where the slicks started to wrinkle inturn dropping horsepower. Any kind of sticky tire on the dyno hurts horsepower.
Now to get to the real point, STD is used world wide just like SAE. Years ago ford used to post horsepower numbers using different formulas. There was a difference in 12 HP on Bills Truck, as long as the same person uses the same dyno shop and method for correction they are going to know if they gainded or lost power on their new mods.
So was it really worth bringing my name into this for something like 12 horsepower. If it is you should find more work to do so you keep yourself occupied. I got one example for you, figure out how to make it up to Chris by putting a new motor in his truck. You roll it off your dyno and it sucks up 9 quarts of oil going home. To me it sounds like you smoked a piston.
Jim@JDM
I was thinkin the same thing, must have burned a piston or ring . What was his a/f and timing. Thats probably how he got his numbers, or his fuel system was not up to par.
Not meaning to bash but? Chris , hope you get it back running. You have one awesome truck.
