as far as the Ram Hemi, I have a buddie with a V6 ranger, with exhaust, and he was right beside the Hemi. Now granted he said that he has a fiberglass bed or something, but that is a little 6 banger hanging with the almighty Hemi POS.

Oh yeah, also it takes yall 500 hp, to do what a lightning will do with 400.

I dont know why you all bash the srt 10 so much.I know its overpriced but the average joe wouldnt spent 33k on a 2wd pick up called the lightning either If what he says is true, hes a enthusiast just like us.Problem is,he doesnt have a 12 second timeslip,he probally doesnt have a SRT 10 At least dodge stepped up to the plate, chevy has not......

The kid doesnt have a clue because they thinks hes gonna throw some slicks on and be on his way.Good luck, better call goodyear

I have to disagree with the 12 second comment,If the timers are not broke and you make a 12 second pass you have a 12 second truck.

Dons Bolt is ALWAYS reffered to as a 10 second truck and he has not even hit 10s yet.You all can give all the excuses you want, traction, tune, weather, truth is, he hasnt even made a pass yet.yet everyone "knows" it will under the "right" cercumstances.Whats good for us should be good for V10.If he did (i know he didnt) make a 12 second pass how can you say with astrait face its not a 12 second pass??? hypercrites....

I know my truck will hit 150mph in a 1/4 mile, unfortunately once it hits the ground from driving off the cliff, it won't be much use to me.

I still have a 13 second truck.
I ran a 13.01.

Since then I have added a ton of mods (JLP traction bars, Ported Eaton, a few things to "COOL" the a/f mixture a little, and I have a dyno tune wnd new chip scheduled for mid April, E-fan and Cobra R Water pump etc...) however I won't have a 12 second truck until I run a 12.99 or better.

The SRT is a great truck, however it was supposed to be the next big thing, the only thing big about it is the pricetag.

UNFORTUNATELY, IT DIDN'T LIVE UP TO ALL THE DODGE HYPE

srt10 emblems are now available for $34, for those who wish to dress up nanna's fleetwood, or jr's civic. it's about time the emblem dreamers come full circle, or something

Since when is a sports car/truck considered a useful or practical vehicle?

Hey V!0? I fart in your general direction!

Oh yeah, I live in San Antonio Texas. You wana see what a 12.3 second pass looks like? Click here.

That’s what $1,500 gets you in a Lightning. Daily driven with 64,000 miles. SUCK IT!

I think a supercharged reg. cab hemi with low boost will keep up with a stock L in the 1/4 mile. Then after you spend 5k on a supercharger you have another 12,000 dollars you can spend so you can match the 18k rams price to the 35k L's. See, i have realistic arguements instead of blurting out things like suck it.

some of you are ignorant and need to realize that there is no replacement for displacement......500c.i. has more potential than 330cubic inches or whatever lightnings have. I just guessed on the 330c.i. and im not 20 im 27. And for those of you who dont believe me that is fine but if motor trend ran a 13.1 with it (as you see in the link) what makes it so hard to believe I got a 12.9

What do you consider NOT useful about:

1,350lb payload
5,000lb towing capacity

?????

That is useful and makes the Lightning the ONLY TRUE performance TRUCK.

The SRT-10 is a performance vehicle but useless as a TRUCK, therefore it is NOT a performance truck, but performance vehicle…

You're right. So, you have 12k left over to spend on engine performance and of course some serious suspension and brake work (cause we all know that Lightning’s don't just go straight well) and maybe save a little on the side for appearance mods so that it doesn't look like every other hemi out there. Hell, while we are spending money why don't we throw some of it at Dodge to make the hemi a limited production vehicle like the Lightning? Best of luck on that one champ.

In the end what do we have? A fast hemi that can corner and brake just like a Lightning with a freakin' voided warranty.

What high school did you go to? Your teachers are freakin’ fired!

Awesome. Optimistic Alan to the rescue. Im going to Houston this weekend. Going to visit my father. I'll bring my L, and my dad will bring his typhoon(we'll have a v8 and a v6 beat the v10. Youll get spnanked by a ford and a chevy. Email me. I will meet (and beat) you on Westheimer. Unless you didnt actually think someone would try to meet up with you (cause your not going to really be there...remember the promise of a timeslip?)

ha ha think before you speak.

This is from motor-trend:
SRT-10 Ram 4.8 13.19 @ 107.07
with 650-lb load 5.4 13.68 @ 102.69

Wow so i can put 650lbs of whatever I want in the bed and still be as fast as a stock lightning.......awesome performance TRUCK

really? you think bolting on a supercharger is all that is needed?
Boy, you need to do some homework.
Lets see, Upgrade the Crank and connecting rods, get lower compression pistons, computer programming headache. A decent rebuild on the engine will set you back about $5k. computer programming? a ton of money.

NO REPLACEMENT FOR DISPLACEMENT?
I've seen 2 liter hondas with a turbo put out some impressive numbers.
no replacement eh?
how about turbo, supercharger, nitrous.

you boy, are an idiot, and the more you spew from your mouth the more we think you are an idiot.

MY OFFER STILL STANDS!

PUT UP OR SHUT THE HELL UP.

I need a winter beater and the srt-10 will be perfect for that job.

Syclone, hopefully youll see us. Oh yeah the sycloneis the second fastest production truck beside the Ram, maybe ill convince him to bring his truck since you think your so big and bad.
