Congrats on your 12 second pass if you actually ran it. But why the talk about the Hemi...I could go spend about 6k less than a hemi Ram and buy a Hayabusa and own your Ram and a Viper and pretty much anything else (plus get more chicks than a long bed truck ) . :I think the SRT-10 is a nice looking truck and it is indeed no slouch...just not my taste.

well most of are s/c are in boxes

however they have been known to be spreed all over race tracks too

 

V!0, where are you? How about you race someone in a lightning, then post who won??? That's a good way to settle whos faster...


(fast=money spent...33k for a lightning+12k to make up differnence between srt-10=11 second lightning, i bet theres no 11 second 45k srt-10)....

These 500c.i. V-10s can take a lot of Nitrous and for a 1,000 dollar kit and some hoosiers 11's are definetly in sight

PS like i said before the reg. cab hemi ram is the best bang for the buck sport truck. 17 grand for 35 less horses than the L. think about it!!

Who cares how much a regular cab hemi cost, they still are doing high 15's. My v6 mustang could do almost a whole second faster than that. Oh yeah, I guess a hemi ram also has 450 ft pounds of torque stock too?

 

I'm not going to knock you, I'm from texas too, and I love my truck (as I'm sure you do too!!)

If I race and loose, I would more than admit it (I've lost to a civic before!!)...

there's alot of pride here with us and there with you, but there's no love lost in the competition as far as I'm concerned!!!!!!!

...competition is what makes this worth while!!!

nah they run 15 flat bone stock thats what motor trend and car and driver got when they ran it as well as my little 16 yr old sister that has one she ran a 15.03 in hers, (cant remember the trap speed). so if you slap a super-charger it will match an L. 17K+5k for super charger=23K. remember guys there is no replacement for displacement..5.7HEMI
Not to knock fords he he i used to have a 347stroker 93 cobra i built.

but it's the love for you truck/car that makes it worth your time

I love my L...you love your Dodge...if i loose or if you loose wont change that, it'll just make you/me more determined, and that's just more fun!!!

As far as I'm concerned, the SRT-10 is the best thing to happen to the Lightning...the more competition the better!!!...what fun would it be without a challenge???

Who gives a shiat what the magazines are doing. I can't stand peeps who refer to magazines. At the track I go to, the damn things are doing low 16's high 15's. There are like three of em' in my car club. Even they think the SRT-10 sucks. Since where refering to gay *** magazines, Sport Truck did 15.9 in the quarter with one.

 

Ok I have proof to myself they run 15 flat but saying that my sister did it wont prove it to you thats why i reffered to the magazine which here is the link where motor trend ran it down the 1/4 mile strip and got a 15.1.. are you calling them liars? hell their test truck had the heavy *** 20" wheels, you can get them with cheaper and way lighter 17"

Hahahaha, you paid how much for a truck that has the same numbers as that other truck that cost $15,000 less?

 

dang guys... get offa his back about how much he paid. I'm a little skeptical but excited about the prospect of a 12.9. I'm still waiting on a timeslip!!

it's the same argument between the z06 and the more expensive viper. they both have great performance but the z06 is ALOT cheeper. same with the new ford GT and the srt10 viper...they are both fast (the GT is quite a bit quicker, however) but for some you can't justify the difference in price. For me, however, if I had the means i would DEFINATELY get the GT.

some people dream for years and years about getting a lightning. while at the same time some people wouldn't get a lightning simply because it's a ford product. that's ok...I can deal with that.

same goes for this truck...we love our trucks, but it's another option out there for dodge and/or NA fans, it's competition (finally!) and will really help to boost the performance of the new lightning.

congrats V!10 on your beautiful new truck, and we'd all really like to see a scan of your timeslip.
