Delusional would be a complement to that statement.

[QUOTE=Lady Fitzgerald;4516197]Can you substantiate any of that or are you just parroting what you have heard? Where in God's Word does it say homosexuality is wrong?

LF- I suggest you read a little less of psychiatric psychobabble and a little more of the Bible. You just might find your answer then.

Why are there so many different religions in this world? Which religion is right and which one is wrong? Religion is the basic reason for the twin towers coming down and I don't care what you say on that one. It was a religious belief that spawned the attacks against us.

Many states this time around are going to ask for the birth certificate in order for a candidate to appear on the ballot in their state. Whether it is the long or short form I can't tell you, but at least it will be required.

I agree. If the Obamanation had nothing to hide he would turn over his long form birth certificate for all to see.
The simple fact the he is Not willing to do so clearly tells me that he is trying to hide something.

What kind of handgun are you looking at Stealth? You plan on carrying everyday? I'm thinking of picking up a 9mm Springfield XDSC for everyday carry since my XDM is just a little too big.

I guess it depends on who's God you're talking about.... The Romans and Greeks practiced homosexuality and they had tons of Gods.

As far as nature's law, well, homosexuality has been documented in other species besides man. (start here, then do your own research: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15750604/)

"Hate Crimes" are BS. If anything, they reinforce the idea that some people are not equal to others. Aren't most crimes conducted out of hate?

- In a fury of hate a man shoots his wife and her lover upon discovering them in bed...
- A poor young kid takes part in a home invasion because he hates that he's poor and unimportant and wants to feel rich and powerful...
- Some nutjob bombs a federal building out of hate for the government...
- A bunch of smelly foreigners hijack some planes and crash them into a couple a buildings out of their hate for America...

The list could go on and on. Problem is, people don't really want to be equal. Instead they want to have special treatment but are unwilling to accept any disadvantages that might go along with that special treatment.

In washington state, if I call someone a ***, I can get charged with a hate crime. Don't tell me that homosexuals don't have special protection. As far as God, as Christians, part of our work is to teach people. Unfortunatly, we are all falable humans who don't get it right. God's word is the only truth. Just because it makes you uncomfortable doesn't mean it is wrong. As people we can justify anything.. the hard part is accepting God's word as truth. That is up to you to do.... not anyone here.

X2million.

When 2 guys can **** each other up the butt or 2 girls can bump vagina's and get each other pregnant then it being a Natural thing would be more believable. That fact is IT IS NOT. I don't care how you Lib Dems try to justify it.....it's wrong in Gods eyes. God is perfect. He don't change. If he condemned it thousands of years ago he still does. He does not look down with a smile at all the filth in the world. He does not look down on 2 guys getting married then having gay sex with a smile. How do we know? His word the bible says so.

I never claimed to be perfect, nor did I say I don't have my own issues that I am dealing with. Jesus also said that any man who looks upon a woman lust_fully has already committed adultery in his heart. I would say pretty much every man has failed to meet that standard on at least one occasion.

Drunkenness is wrong, yes, but taking one drink of alcohol is not a sin. I am not advocating a revisit to the Prohibition era. Overindulgence/intoxication is what Paul was speaking about in Corinthians. People were getting drunk off the communion elements in church. The only reason that I posted what I did is because Lady Fitzgerald asked to see where in the Bible homosexuality was declared wrong.

Here is the thing...I am not going to dispute the fact something is religiously right or wrong. Government and religion are two totally separate things in this country. Many want to steer us toward intertwining the two but it is a huge mistake and should be avoided.

It is kind of the NRA view of religion and government. If you give up the slightest ground there, you open the doors to more and more.

The last thing I want to see is for us to become a theocracy! There are many out there that would love for that as they feel God's law is rule and everyone should follow it. Look what goes on in the Middle East?

While Christians may think they have the truth, so don't the Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, and every other religious group. Others feel there is no higher power. Let them believe how they do. If the only basis for not allowing homosexual marriage is founded in religion then the issue should be a moot point as legal and ethical outcomes often don't coincide.

So do all you bible-thumpers believe that anyone who died before Christ was born has gone to hell?

Are all the ancient Romans, Greeks, Egyptians, Aztecs, Mayans, Incas, Aborigines burning in hell because they aren't Christians?

I have a question, is there 100% proof that the bible or god is without a doubt 100% real? I'm in no way saying you can't believe that they are, but in my eyes there is no real, concrete scientific proof that any of it is real. So why base opinions of same sex marriage on something that can not be proven?? We all may find one day that yes, god is real, but then again we may find nothing exists after death. My beliefs are somewhere in between that. I have no belief in the bible whatsoever, reason is because all the teachings in the bible originated as word of mouth. We all know that word of mouth gets exaggerated and misconstrued, imagine a story stretched out say, 2000 years. I think the bible had some good teachings, but some take it too far. Do we still sacrifice our children in the name of god? Hell there is instance of a mans wife that can't get pregnant and it was ok that he got the servant pregnant, and this is ok to teach our young?? Would we still practice these things -- NO. The world has changed and if there is a god I believe he or she would want us to change with it and not stay stuck in the past. If 2 people love each other - they get married. I have been with my bf for 7 happy years, neither of us cheat on each other, we're both very happy together. Why or how does this make me/us less deserving of getting married? Marriage is all about love if I'm not mistaken. How is my being married to a man going to hurt another person - especially since the only reason I wanna marry him is out of love - nothing more? We don't kiss or make out in public (no one should), we both work and pay our taxes, and we both love F150's - that is all that should matter, lol

^^ Are you talking about me or K-Mac?

If you think my idea is outlandish, then why do y'all say that the only way into heaven is through JC?

to you mikeyss. It boggles my mind that two people in love who choose to spend their lives together cannot get married when the US sports one of the divorce rates in the world.

And to you religious types, I thought divorce wasn't allowed. So why aren't you all clamoring to abolish divorce?
