Calling All Fat Bastards - V2.0
We stayed at the Regency, got a great deal on a room over there. Since the shuttles will take you to any of the 3 Sandals on the island it's not a big to to bounce between the resorts.
I'm sure y'all will have a blast!

Day three of P90X was fun.. arms and shoulders, plus Ab ripper X..
one word - mommy!
Id love to get down to around 220. Its tough though, especially since Ive been adding some muscle mass lately.
I was reading this thread and decided to share my story.
I'm 29 yrs old and had been heavy most of my life. I was a thin kid, but started gaining weight around the time I was 12 yrs old. Towards the end of high school, I was 280lbs @ 6'2. During college I started gaining more weight and after getting married in '02, gained even more. I'm not sure how heavy I got as I was always afraid to weigh myself, but it was probably in the 330lb range. It wasn't until I saw pictures of me and my newborn daughter in '05 that it hit me how big I was. You would think it would have hit me a lot sooner considering I was wearing 44 in waisted jeans and XXL shirts
So in the summer of '05 I decided to be fat no more. I started with Slimfast (2 shakes a day and a sensible dinner, just like the commercial says). By cutting my calories (and actually paying attention to how much I ate) to 1800/day and working out 3 times a week, the weight came off really quickly. I tried losing weight off and on throughout my life and always failed. For some reason, I just stuck to my new routine and didn't let up. I became obsessed with seeing results. It helped that several friends at work started doing the same thing and we had a good competition going. Mon-Fri I was very strict on what I ate. Saturday night, I would have my 1 cheat meal . Having that cheat meal helped me stay on track. It gave me something to look forward to and prevented that feeling of never being able to indulge in bad food again.
After seeing constant progress (losing around 5 lbs/week) I just kept going. I eventually lost well over 100lbs and in '07 reached my lowest weight of 190lbs. I'm currently at 195, so i've kept it off for over 3 yrs.
To recap, beginning weight around 330lbs. End weight, 195 lbs. Waist from 44 in to 32 in. Shirt size from XXL to medium. Not sure on my bodyfat % before, but i'm around 12% now.
Don't laugh at my ugly mug, but here are a few before and after pics.

^ Hell yeah Daddy-O, that's awesome!! Hopefully we can help create some more stories like yours.
I went over to Duke's medical facilities this week to get my yearly dive physical done. Hearing tests, pulmonary functioning tests, chest x-rays, EKG, blood work, urinalysis, etc etc. They say I'm healthy enough to dive, woohoo!
Will be starting back at the gym come Monday.

Weight loss is a funny thing. This week I ate Pizza for dinner on Friday, Texas Roadhouse on Saturday, and pretty poorly on Sunday, and weighed in this AM at 230.2 lbs, a loss of 3.4 lbs.
This was my best week in the last six, as I've been averaging about 1.2 lbs per week since early May. I'm hoping to be at 226 by the time I leave for vacation on 7/11 - a loss of 60 lbs.

Down 2.6 lbs this week to 227.4. Only 1.4 pounds left before my goal, though I think I'll once again be dropping that by 10 pounds or so. If I can hit 226 before my vacation in 10 days, I'll be a happy camper.
Bringing this one back up from the depths....
I've started P90X and it will definitely kick your butt! I'm doing the Classic program and my wife is doing the Lean program. I need to get a set of heavier weights and a set of bands to take with me when I travel. Since I've been a slackass for almost 10 months, I'm going to restart my daily count to coincide with the start of P90X (started 3/22/11)
I'll be trying to stick to the diet part of the program, but I'm not going to go crazy with it. Maybe once I'm more in shape I'll do a 2nd round and follow the diet more.
I'll post before and after pics once I finish the program.
Starting weight is 164.5 pounds.
Day 2
Day 1 was chest and back, or in other words, a crapton of push-ups and pull-ups.
Day 2 was plyometrics, training that involves a lot of squats and jumping.
Each workout was about an hour long. Next week I'm going to add in 2 sets of Ab-RipperX.

^ P90x is awesome. My wife and I are in week5. We recently had a baby, so she wanted something to get back in shape for summer time. I've always been in fairly decent shape, or so I thought until I started P90x! Wow, what a great work out!

Yep, i wenr through P90X right before our wedding. I went from 186 to 165.. i am 5'-8". Since the wedding in December, i have not done much, except travel to the end of the world and back. I went to the doctor yesterday, sprained my ankle playing Ultimate Frisbee, i weighed in at 182. Oh hell no!! Back on P90X i go as soon as my ankle is healed up. Plyometrics is my favorite.. in a sick sadistic kind of way! Another guy i work with bought Insanity... he is on day 2 and miserable as well,,

I've been working out like usual at the gym... completely changed my workouts and have been noticing more strength and more toning. I still way 165 and my running has become pretty darn good. Did 5-6 miles last Thursday before my workout since it was nice.
