My friend just got an env3, and it actually reads out the name of the caller/texter as inputted in his contact lists, then plays the ring song/text noise.

What phone do you have? I have the blackberry 8520 and I dont recall this feature but I will look into it

And this would be a completely unbiased opinion of your driving ?

Might want to check other drivers reactions ( instead of texting ) to get an accurate count of the number of dirty looks, and fingers you get, as the reaction to your "better driving".

Please stop texting and drive better than 99% of the people on the road.

TIA.

There is nothing that important to text about and risk your life and the lives of others. It is just irresponsible and selfish to text while driving. If you must talk to someone get a hands free kit. I have been nearly run off the road by morons and their bad driving habits including texting, shaving and reading. Pay attention to the road!

My old phone the Verizon Alias did it for sure, i now have an env2 and i have not messed with it, but it has a button with the same logo on it so im sure that it has it. Could be wrong, but I am about 99% sure the env3 does. I know about all phones now have the voice read out though.

"You're going the wrong way!"

"That's ridiculous, how do they know where we're going?"

For anyone to say otherwise just shows how stupid they are.

I don't text and drive but I remember when I got my Jenson in-Dash 7 inch DVD installed in the truck, I thought I was all that and more for about a week.

It started all innocent, I'd pop in a DVD of entourage, watch it from my peripheral vision, saying to myself "Well, I'm not stupid enough to look away from the road, I'm just really listening to it"

You can talk yourself into anything if you try hard enough.

A couple of days later as I'm driving into town (watching Entourage), I didn't realize it, but the DVD took my attention for longer than I realized, and in that 2 seconds, all the traffic in front of me came to a halt, there I am driving 40 miles an hour and 'almost' plowed into the vehicle in front of me.

Luckily there was an empty grassy medium I drove on instead, but it scared the chit out of me,, made me realize what a dumb fk I was, and have never done it again.

You might think there's a big difference between texting and what I did, but there isn't. It's easy to have your eyes and attention preoccupied and taken away from the road; it only takes 1 or 2 seconds to have an accident that you'll always regret.

So don't be a dumb fk like I was and put the phone away or Bucky will get the belt out.

I have no problem admitting what a stupid thing I did, especially if it will help someone understand how serious it is.
Entourage is worth it..

Best show ever.

Today on my way to work i stopped at wally world and picked up a toy rubber dart gun with the suction darts, a gun and 12 darts was 5.99.
Now each time on my way to or from work when a distracted driver causes me any discomfort while i am driving i am gong to shoot a rubber dart at them. I don't care if they are upset or not but it will get my message accross but that is my plan moving forward.

I thought the guy littering was bad but these people are out to kill someone and i'm going to shoot them up good with m y rubber darts......

Bucky, bad idea. If you try that in Texas, before the dart vacates your barrel, you may have a 9 mm aimed at you.

I thought you handled the liter bug very tactfully. You should handle these tools the same way.
