Anyone who texts whilst driving should be shot in the head.

I do not nor will I. I also do not talk on the phone unless its hands free device. I would love to see the day come that it is illegal in all states. Id be willing to bet the majority would as well. Please dont endanger me and my family becasue "you" want to be careless.

I dont, but I know many that do and I can say that 7 of the 10 that come to mind have got into accidents because of it. Three of them were very bad accidents as well, two of them have got in wrecks because of it since the first and guess what, they all still drive and text. Hell I've seen people walk into walls/doors and fall off a curb busting there *** because there to busy texting. And what do they do...get up and finish there text message then look for sympothay because they hurt thereselfs.

I don't and never will. Its too dangerous to be unfocused while driving. You have to watch for other dangerous drivers and then by texting you basically become part of the problem

Who Texts And Drive?

I couldn't text if I was sitting on a toilet.
It takes me twelve minutes to send a text when all I'm trying to say is 'no'.

Never understood the popularity.
Ten keypad numbers for 26 letters in the alphabet?

Plus, when somebody sends me a text it costs me ten cents.
I have called people and told them if they text me again I would come over and beat the crap out of them until they coughed up my dough.

While driving.....texting, reading email, and/or surfing the web is more dangerous than those who have been drinking. There have been countless case studies to prove this, and the majority of those reports are not even close. Those who participated failed far worse using their portable device than those who were considered to be legally drunk.

It's funny that the general public views drinking and driving as wrong, but not as outraged when it comes to texting, reading email, etc.

I'm all in favor of a national law that prohibits using one's personal device unless hands free while driving. Those who are in position to pass such a law are those same folks who do it daily....so, we'll see if such a law is passed.

I don't text at home let alone in the truck. Never understood the need for texting when you could just call the person and save your fingers all the work. Only idiots text and drive.

I do. I'll txt, talk and check my email.....hell I've even posted on here while driving to MS.

Granted I pick and choose my spots on the road when I do it, like no cars around or at red lights, but I'll man up and admit it.

And if that scares ya'll to where it keeps you off the roads around me and outta my way.......AWESOME!

That's the beauty of a QWERTY keyboard on a phone.

I admit that I talk on the cell phone while driving, no hands free device. :o But, I have never been in or caused any accidents because of it. It's hard not to when you have an hour and a half commute and you do phone sales for a living. That's valuable work time for me.

Texting - no way. I can't see how anyone can maintain a text conversation while driving and still be able to keep their eyes on the road. I am all for banning texts and talking while driving, with the exception of a hands free device. I just haven't gotten around to picking one up yet for my cell phone.

How do you keep the string from getting wrapped around sign posts?
