Look you ...... All i am saying is why on the furniture they are DOGS not humans they enjoy the floor. Mine is not even allowd on the carpet in the living area it is for humans not dogs!!!. I am somewhat of an animal i will admit it (b-j). My dog is a chessy and is a monster but even if it was 5 lbs he would not be on the furniture ever!!. He has 3 beds in which to enjoy and dam comfy i might add. He lays just at the boundry of the living room and is close enough to enjoy our company. I have a friend and thier dog lays all over everything, that ain't happening here ever. My dog was a rescue and he is a great dog. but he is gay i think

meh, my dog can lay on anything he wants, except the leather couch. He knows where he is allowed, and where he isn't. Never had any issues. Last time I checked, my dog is smarter, cleaner, nicer and better behaved then 90% of people anyways. People need a seat, he moves. I don't see what the deal is. Plus they are pack animals, they want to be included, and close to everyone. "alpha male" ? Letting your dog on carpet or on your couch has nothing to do with alpha male training. If you want that, and I suggest you do if owning a male, then look into it. Lots more to it.

Definately suggest training, especially if your taking em out camping and what not. If ya plan to have em running around your rig while you wheel, its nice having some voice commands in place. Look into good local trainers. You could also look into books and reading for yourself, and start there. Just enjoy the company, and your new best bud.

Our dogs are allowed wherever they want to go and on whatever furniture they want. I love laying with the dog on the couch.

Our dogs generally relax wherever they want too. And they both sleep in the bed with us. They are comfy, she is happy and I get to sleep because she is happy. Isn't that what is really important? Keeping the woman appeased so I can get some rest.

Three labs and a lab/goldie mix---none sleep on the bed, but they will sleep on the floor right next to the bed. When the alarm goes off in the morning, they all know that it is breakfast time...The Pack wanders to their bowls to await their meal...gotta watch where ya step so one doesn't trip you.
