also to get everything done would it be better to just go through ford to have them installed so therefore i get to keep my warranty if ne thing happens? even if i have to pay a hundred or two more it would be fine bc it will be covered and thought on that and pricing? and how about gas mileage how much will it add for me or will it at all with the 37s thanks and sorry for all hassle and ?s

Right on man! Thing looks CLEAN! I like that. i like someone who will take the truck out, beat on it a little, get em dirty, then take the time to clean. I personally am a mechanic and have been since i was about... 8 years old helping my Dad build Ford 460's and hangin in his Mercedes shop. I am new to the detailing side of thing and am still learning. mostly thanks to RollingRock and other guys on the site. Got some more pics of that lil beast?

no hassle at all man! In fact, I think my parts guy has dissappeared! Bastard! I need the parts to get these cars outta the shop! Oh well, the other guys are busy. Anyways, lets try and answer these ?'s
First off, sounds like you got some "block stacking" going on back at the rear. The first thing your going to wana do is fix that. it causes bad axle wrap and is just a safety issue. Like i said, im not sure on the price but i know Fabtech sells a 5" rear lift block. That should be a pretty decent rear lift. If you still want more and you really do have an AAL (add a leaf, just so we are clear on it ) then that will give you another 2" lift or more. And you can always get a bigger AAL. You really don't want a block 6" or bigger. Again, axle wrap and other problems will begin buggin you. You may also want to think about traction bars for the rear. it will help control the axle and keep it planted giving you the traction ya want. And since your going to run a leveling kit,you will be putting a lot more wear and tear on you ball joints so you may also want to consider investing in some new Upper Control Arms. Total Chaos and Camburg Design both make great ones that give you a ton more flex and stregth. They replace the ball joint with a uniball... it can take a much more severe angle then the stock ball joint. These small add on's would be after gears and everything of course. See, a never ending money pit. Anyways, I would definately fix the block stacking rigth away.
Fort Knox ay? nice. And isn't Basic 9 weeks? and then 7 weeks (and two days) of MOS training? And you have an idea of what you want to do in the Army?

ok uploaded a pic to show you what i have in my rear lift
[IMG][/IMG]

-so from what u see in this pic is a six inch lift all around my truck but has that 2 in block in the back so it sits almost like an 8inch in the rear and 6inch up front so i should be fine with leaving it

-they migth extend it to 10 for basic and yeah 7weeks and like 6 days for cavalry scout which is front lines so good jobs when i get out tho also gonna try and get a chance with sf in 2 years

-ifi gotnew gear ratios ford will only do 4.10 and have it be under warranty i think but i would need to go with 4.88 and asking questions to everyone what could go wrong with those gears and is it pricy to fix it if a problem occured and what could make a problem occur?

All on my laptop. I am trying to get some more from my friend he took when we went mudding out on his property. All 200+ acres of it. I ended up with half a tree in the bed of my truck. There was no way around, so I went through

Give me a bit here and I'll look through them.

- Looks like you got some stacking goin on therea long with some AAL and shim. I would go ahead and bet good money your best bet would still be taking out the 2 blocks you got and installing the Fabtech 5" block. Also, keep in mind the rear need about 3" LESS then the front to sit level (they made these trucks pretty raked from the factory) When i installed my lift it was 6" lift up front and a 3" block in the rear (no AAL, no shim kit, and no other blocks) and my rear still sits ever so slightly higher then my front. Im tellin ya, Fabtech 5" rear lift block.

-Cavalry scout ? ? Got some big one there dont ya bud? Thats good! and again a big congrats to ya. I can't tell you how much I appreciate EVERYONE who is doing their part to serve our country.

-As for Ford installing your parts, yes the only "low" gears they offer our trucks is the 4.10's . I would highly suggest NOT using them. It will not void your warranty by going to someone else and it legally cannot void your wiarranty simply by adding a mod. The thing is, is the company will have to PROVE whatever new part you put on led to the DIRECT result of the breakdown/problem. Putting in 4.88's at some quality 4x4 shop may void your coverage on your axle's... but your going to have a quality shop put em in and if so, they should have their own warranty for any part they replace. Plus, 4.10 will cost just about the same (if not more) then 4.88's at a different shop. Same amount of labor. And I promise you woudln't feel that big of a gain.

no worries man, its what the site is for. You get any more questions feel free to send me an e-mail Euroauto@sonic.net. Turned out my parts man's truck broke down... looks like I get to explain to a customer why they wont get a car back simply because i didn't have the damn starter motor! something so simple is now a PITA ! ! ! Oh well. Oh, and i'm sure i could get you a decent price on the Fabtech 5" block. When your ready for that, let me know and I will see what i can do.

Roushstage2: stoked to see some more pics... post em up when ya get the chance. ha, looks like ya just beat me to it. Good timing ay?
Those are some GREAT action pics! Nice job to whoever snapped em. Thanks a lot for sharing Roush, those are some good ones!

MercedesTech: I love the 7.3, There is just so much power and ever since i put in the chip, it's pretty quick for a heavy truck. but i didn't have any problems with the truck itsself, only my front hubs ceased up on me last month which was like $800 to fix. but other then that the odometer is about 85,000 which is still not even broken in
