Sure, they may have to pay for gas, or insurance, or mods (whoo hoo...). But you think every one of these trucks would have a lift and shiny new rims if they had to pay for FOOD? or were even old enough to have a BEER? There's the answer, plain and simple. When i had just a truck bill, you bet your **** it had everything i wanted. Now with a wife finishing a B.S. Nursing, and my measly 45k a year, i dont. But i sure as hell have everything i need, and that's good enough.
So do I except I may only sleep here once or twice a week as my parents live on the other side of were I work at. I mostly sleep at my girlfriends house with her parents. I however help out as I buy dinner sometimes and such. That is true though they just throw all there money at their trucks and you know mom and ada will pay for the rest. I make 30K a year while still in high school however working 70 hours a week plus school is killing me. good thing only 3 more months left and college comes. Were I get paid good money that goes right back to college.

Heh, i hear ya on too much work and school combined. I did a work release program back in H.S. 6am to 9 am at school, then began work at 9:45 till 6:30 at night. Made good money, didn't save enough. Had some cool stuff. +1 on going to college man. Definately a wise move. It's still cool to have your fun "toys", since you work so hard to make your own way. Nothin wrong with that.

05F150SCrew I hear you about going t college as a structal engineer and man the work the do is awsoem as it always invovle how to make a building better and what you can do to maximize how many people and such it can hold. And other buildings like that. After I go through college and get my master's degree I hope to get a real estate's license so I can buy the buildings I BUILT and then sell them. Also how my own construction crew so I will be a one man band with the designing then building then buying and selling. The money to be had in all three of those things is great as well!

Wow... so you guys who go "off-roading" who pays for that ?

Yall are still in HS right ? Just wondering who would pay for a new rear end if you blew it ? A new tranfer case if you destroy it ? New... etc ? I can't remember a off-road trip where soemthing didn't break. We generally wheel, until every rig is no longer moving. I am not hatin at all, all of you guys have some amazing looking trucks, and wether you parents paid or you did, more power to you. I am just wondering what happen when chit goes wrong ? Have yall planned for it ?

And I will post my old HS ride again, just for fun:

Here is my ride.

And for off-roading I have this. My first truck which I still own and will contiune to own. Only paid $250 and for 3 days went through $80 in gas.

And this is my other toy. Bought and paid for in cash when I was 15. Worked at a tranny shop all summer and helped my dad clean office buildings at night for three years.

ha your exactly right. when i bought my lift and tires, i got them for off roading. I was all about some gettin muddy and slingin some mud around and seein how stuck i could possibly get.
Now ive gotten smarter and realized exactly what you said already mercedes. Everytime I would go offroading, something would brake. So thats why I have stopped any hardcore offroading with my truck, cuz i figure its too nice a truck to mess up. plus it hurts me when she hurts
I still will go out on the beach and climb dunes and such but no big watery mud holes for me
