you needed bigger tires as it it is with the 9" of lift. Its just gunna look plain rediculous with 11" of lift on 37"s. Id go with some 40s

11 inches and 38x15.5 will be plenty.....no need for 40's.

I'm 18 and just graduated high school in June of 07. I bought this truck when i was 16 and every penny came out of my pocket. It's a 2001 f-250 crew cab 4x4 lariet,super-duty,off-road package, Powerstroke turbo diesel 7.3L V8, with superchip plus air intake..... Hope you like it.

I'm 20 and finishing my 3rd year at Sac State this Spring, but have had this truck since High School. I "inherited" the truck, so to speak. My parent's didn't want to fix it, so I did and just kind of made it mine.

Oh wait, you can't see it there.

Jbraket: NICE. I am very jealous ! How you like that monster 7.3 ? Have any problems with it yet ? Whats your odometer reading?

Roushstage2: What year is that ? Looks in pretty good shape for someone with a pic splashin through mud. Thats awesome man! Always nice to see the older 150's still rockin !

You ever sell that thing, lemme know. I'll drive to Cali to pick up a nice truck like that.

well when i get my 2'' AS installed and we move out im gonan have the 37s on there with an 8 in lift then when those get close to wearing out im throwing the body lift on there and then ill decide whether i want biggers tires or not which i dont think i will also cus i fact ill prob have to regear too and this is my first truck and dont wanna go all out spending all my money. so id rather do it for my next truck and put all the money into it and have it last 4 5 yrs

mhockey: wait... so you don't plan on keeping that truck for 4 or 5 years?????? WHY??? It would EASILY last twice that long. And if your already turning 37' tires... im sorry bud, but you need to regear already. it may "feel" fine to you, but didn't you buy it already looking like that? Trust me, your beating the HELL out of your tranny and engine running around with stock gears. Gears will give you a TON of "umph" off the line! Its a truck man, and you have a VERY nice looking one. My suggestion would be to start dumping money into it. Having a lifted truck is an endless cycle of spending money as fast as you get it. Save up for some gears (you don't need a spacer if your not going bigger tires) Why are you trying to lift it up more but not wanting big tires? IMO it would look odd.

Your truck looks awesome in your sig. I say when you move out and are able to, get it back up looking that way, throw those 37's on and save up for some gears and other little "add ons". Like I said man, you got a great looking truck! why not take care of it and keep her goin? All in all it IS your truck and it is YOUR decision. I was just putting in my 2 cents and thats all. ( since I am sitting around waiting on a parts delivery!)

see yeah thats the thing i can keep iit for awhile prob bc the fact im leaving here in a month to go to the army but its gonna be driving by someone here right now and they are gonna drive it like once twice a week keeping it running its got a 6inch lift with a 2in rear block somehow i dont know why it was in there so im getting a 2'' AS to level it out so it will be around a 8in lift on 35x12.5 r18 mud but when i get home or when we move and these tires wear down im putting the body lift back on and also the 37s so i will want to regear which isnt a bad idea bc ill have the money by time i get to come home so thanks for the info and yeah prob end up keeping it for a while.

No worries, glad to hear you got some sense in ya and I didn't **** ya off with my rambling!
So, you have the Fabtech 6" lift, correct (great lift, BTW) and the normal 3" lift block PLUS the factory 2.5" lift block stacked up? If thats the case, your best bet may be to call Fabtech, they offer a 5" rear block for people exactly in your shoes. Take out all your rear blocks and put in the 5". If thats still not enough, then maybe an AAL. As for which gears ? I would suggest Genuine or Precision (maybe better? might want search on that one. Those are the two I have heard the best feedback from) and with those big of tires you definately wana go with a 4.88:1 gear ratio. Also may wana keep a custom tuner in mind. most people use Troyer Performance on this site and have said they get HUGE gains of HP and off the line "umph" from his tunes. There are tons of stuff for our trucks! and these trucks look GREAT imo! I would def. keep yours and just keep adding mods to it.
Joining the Army ay? Congrats man and many thanks for what your about to do. Are you going back in or signing up for the first time? You know where abouts there gunna ship you for basic?

1986. I do detailing and I am mechanically inclined on the older engines like mine, so it all helps.

Thanks!
