whats the difference between true x pipes and the crossovers??
and does the length matter in this aswell??

iv found some on jegs- true x 9.5 in length for 93.99$
on autoanything- 83.78- just no length number.

Length sometimes plays a factor, some like for Mustangs guide the left bank over to the driverside, which wont work for the trucks. You need a small universal X pipe thats about 9" wide and 12" long.

You'll want the X pipe as close to where the original Y was as possible, and the mufflers as far under the bed as possible to lessen drone.

Got my loudmouths!!

I bought a pair of slp loudmouth resonators a couple weeks ago. I finally got around to taking my truck to a shop to get the pipes bent so I could weld them up. After much frustration, I'm finally done.

3" 316L stainless steel tubing covered in aluminum spray

dual rear exit with 4 1/2" tips

Sounds like a nice exhaust setup, but 3" true duals? Has to be killing your low end badly. And that is a very tacky reat end, chains and that thing of a hitch, but anyways, how come you painted over 316L stainless? thats just about the best stainless to get, it had to have costed quite a bit.

thanks for the feedback, positive and negative. I know the chains are a little extensive on my tiny mydflaps... something to change. But the hitch, couldn't disagree more. I got the design from the internet and wanted to put my metal fabrication and welding skills to the test by trying to make one myself - a 10" drop hitch in a flame design not only as the face of the hitch but the gusset as well. I love how it turned out. It goes well with the rest of the flames on the truck. As far as the exhaust goes, its not true dual; it has a y pipe. 2 1/2" tubing still runs from the cats up until the y pipe. This setup replaced my 3" Flowmaster single exhaust. If I have lost any torque, it's so minimal that I can't tell. Drone isn't bad since I shoved the resonators as far back as I could. Thank you migdaddy for the technical advice and to those who referred me to videos with similar setups. Now what's wrong with a little s n m if you're the one holding the whip?

hehehehehe........ I was just pullin' yur chains!
Apparently you're damn good at metal fabrication, something I wouldn't even begin to know anything about.......... but your truck looks great!

And I love that exhaust, especially the TIPS!
