Yeah man, your truck sounds freakin sweet! I'm excited to see what mine sounds like-- Long tube headers, high flow cats, and the 18" bullet..

Hey Guys, I am brand New to this site... I just got a 1992 F150 Supercab 5.8L 4x2 and I am thinking about a brand new exhaust in it. I got it with the stock exhaust, and I have no clue what I want or what my options are. Questions? Comments? Concerns?

What kind of sound, well without having any real vocabulary, I'd like a mean grumble... I'll look for one on youtube that I like and post it. And my budget is not alot... haha, I'd like to stay under 500 maybe but I dont know what I should expect to pay for a quality system. I don't want to just throw junk underneath the truck and have to replace it in a couple years.

i would say go true dual (meaning cutting out the Y pipe, and running 1 pipe off of each catalytic converter.
flowmaster 44s based on the sound i can tell that your looking for. i would suggest getting Stainless steel 44s
put an X or H pipe as a crossover
2.25 or 2.5" pipes
and depends on how you want to exit it. i would suggest either 3.5" or 4" tips.

ok i have read all the posts and would just like an opinion on changing my setup. i currently have my exhause coming off the cats to a dual in dual out magnaflow but i want to change because it is way too quiet for me. i like the sound of that bullet on migdaddy's truck but not sure where in the system i should put that type of muffler. should i remove the magnaflow and put an x pipe and then put two of those bullet's near the rear of my exhaust?

what about a cherry bomb extremed dual in dual out? havn't seen cherry bomb on here much, is there a reason for that? or is there a dynomax dual in dual out that will sound awesome like the single bullet? also just to try to give a mental picture cause i don't know how to post one on here, the di/do magnaflow is pretty much installed under the passenger side front seat and then the tips stick out both sides right before the rear tire. i do have photos in the photo section of this forum under "king" ranch if anyone wants to take a look that way. thanks for the posts
