Looking at their site you can add a front camera even with the factory camera installed...

^^^the front camera is one of the major reasons i wanted the lockpick, haven't called in yet to find out for sure but a few that have ordered the lockpick say it is not an option if you already have the factory back-up

Now that doesn't make a lot of sense to me....but maybe it has to deal with the signal/video feed across the nav....I dunno.....

I'm amazed anyone is getting any info out of them. They are within 10 miles of my house and I can't locate them because they don't list a street address. I have been emailing them for months trying to get specific info and they won't reply to email.

I also was under the empression you could add a 2nd camera and that there were two video input available. I want a front camera along with my rear OEM camera.

Good luck dealing with them !

From the way I understand it, you used to not be able to do a second camera if you had the stock rearview camera. But since the software update has been released, I believe that has been fixed. I'm planning on adding a front camera to my system. I installed my lockpick about 6 months ago.

Please post updates when installed. Can't make my mind up for sure. I need some persuasion.

Hello every body if you have a factory rear view camera you can't install an astermarket front camera acording to coastal electronics the issue is that the factory rear view camera is always on and there is no way to stop the factory backup camera to stop sending video to the screen.

so the only way to add a front camera to the Ford F150 Nav radio is if you cut the factory backup camera trigger wire and connected to the SYNC-LP1 Blue wire...by doing this the SYNC-LP1 fully controls the factory backup camera power..this mod does not effect the original backup camera funtions it will still work in reverse....also bey doing this the front cam and the backup camera video will not mix with eachother.....i hope this helps

help it does help...i think? electronics frighten me (especially now that trucks are basically ran by a computer)....i'm hoping to have an audio place install mine if i get one, that way i can yell at them when it breaks....not too comfortable cutting wires on the nav/radio that cost me like 1-2 grand in the first place!
