Just got back off our trip. Everything worked fine. The DVD playing for the passengers while i was driving was great for them. It was a bit distracting for me. i guess I need to make sure that passengers only watch movies I've already seen or not interested in.

I can see where it would be very distracting and how you could fall into the trap of trying to watch something on it. When I take my next long trip I'll be taking along one of my laptops so they can watch it in the rear seat without distracting me.

Which, I'm sure you know, is why it's illegal.

our city has been "chosen" as a test market for mobile tv and I'm already scared you know what less, based on the amount of people that already talked on their phone and drove like idiots, and now text on phones and drive like idiots. I'm sure I will see someone watching tv on their i-phone or equivalent in the near future while doing 70.

It's one of the reason's I'm seriously thinking about selling my motorcycle.

I'll probably take a laptop next time as well for movie watching. I still think the lockpick is worth installing. It was good for the passenger to be able to input a new destination while I was driving.

I have not seen the climate issue. The rear view camera has stayed on a few times as I shift from park to drive. Not even sure that is related to the lockpick. I might update the sync and the lockpick just for the heck of it.

Here is and update of my problem with Climate controls reappearing after latest update...I have even made a video just click on link...

When in Drive...when I cltouch the screen to turn on the climate nothing happens and u will also notice that the power sign on touch screen is not there in drive...when i turn on the controls still in drive and touch the climate controls the navigation portion flickers to blue screen and back to normal.

When I put the vehicle in park u will notice the when it says "Climate OFF" on screen the power sign reappears as well in Park and everything works normal.

I have the latest firmware update from Coastaltech...and the latest firmware of Ford Sync...people without this problem or with this problem can you please post the following info.....

Climate Control Problem : Yes
Ford Sync Lockpick Version : 4.20
Ford Sync Firmware Version: V3.1
F-150 Year/Model: 2010 Harley-Davidson

Maybe thsi will help coastaltech narrow down the problem....

Wow !! The day I need cameras front and back to tell me how to drive and park my truck is the day I stop driving.
Sounds to me like some people need smaller trucks that their capable of manuvering without the aid of cameras to tell them what their doing.

I'm sure some people said that about power windows at some point too

I've got the rear camera, it's actually pretty handy. I still primarily use the mirrors for backing up, but it's nice to know there isn't some little kid or dog running behind the truck that I can't see.

I thought about the Lockpick for my dvd/nav but after having a portable dvd in my other truck for passengers to watch (on the dash) I was too often distracted by it so I won't be doing anything like that in the new truck.

I can't see a use for the front camera unless you just need to see the garage wall in front of the bumper every time you pull in. The rear camera is invaluable to me though. I love being able to pull my hitch ball perfectly under the trailer coupler every time. I also love being able to back perfectly into any spot within an inch of an object. I have the trailer tow mirrors which are also invaluable to me, but they don't help you see what is 2 feet or less behind the tailgate (like a pet or child).

Ok my specs:
Climate Control Problem : Not really (See below)
Ford Sync Lockpick Version : 4.20
Ford Sync Firmware Version: V3.1
F-150 Year/Model: 2010 F150 FX4 supercab

My climate I/O button only disappears when running and disappears no matter what gear BUT I can touch the nav screen and allow it to show.

When truck is off and not running but in ON or ACC it will show the I/O light. One thing I wonder is changing your temps to Deg. F and see if it helps or at least acts like mine.
