I enjoy watching the progress Baticus. The headlamp output photo looks great, your truck's light color is so clean and crisp!

TL, have at it. Usually don't have many chances of comparing the two different sets. His truck unfortunately came with those headlights.

Darren, thanks, it's always nice having people check it out. And the light output is great. I'll try to get a picture of the color phase on the cutoff lines. Really nice shades of blue/purple.

We both know what's wrong with fiberglass But sorry, mine are 20x10 -24, so 4.5" of BS versus 5" with -12s. The -12s will be much better for your truck if you aren't planning on lifting (any time soon).

Jelly of your perfectly level projectors too haha. I need to fix my passenger one cause it bugs the hell out of me 24/7. Had them perfect and just HAD to mess with it and try to make it tighter haha.

I don't know why I was thinking your rims were 20x12's. I may just stick with the 9's. I don't have any plans on lifting, so it may be a better route. And the projectors are beauty when they are level. I'm also really glad they are, because they are epoxied in there pretty damn good.

Also, my hunt for a decently priced exhaust shop is turning out to be tougher than I thought. They are all coming in at over 700 to bend and weld pipe. Keep in mind that's with me supplying absolutely everything else. One shop couldn't even grasp that it wasn't an actual kit that I have. He kept saying that all kits have different fits, and that it would be a flat rate once they saw the exhaust kit.

For 700 I may just purchase my own tubing bender, and build it myself. Only two more shops to try locally before I make a decision.

I should also be receiving the fan controller soon. Had to come straight from painless, and I was told a 2-3 week wait.

That exhaust shop bit is ridiculous.....especially the one who couldn't grasp that it wasn't a kit

You may as well buy a tubing bender

Might have to consider coming over to the States for the exhaust work at that rate. Offsetting fuel costs and all.

Nfld, tell me about it. A few years ago it cost me 400 labour for dual exhaust on my 2000. That was with me supplying mufflers and tips as well. I have no idea how they've almost doubled the price.

Darren, I've never thought about that. I'm only an hour from the border, and about 2 1/2 from the first big city in montana. I may have to call and get some prices.

Apparently talking with a few others around here, it's around the going rate for exhaust. Terrible. So I've been looking into mandrel bent kits. Probably going to order a few 90's and 45's. Source the straight pipe locally. Won't need a bender that way.

Also attempted to tint the front windows. Everything worked out great until the passenger side. The tint shifted some how, and I cut it too short. So the drivers side came back off as well. Going to give it another go this weekend.

This is how it looked... Used 20% and it seemed to match pretty good. Will pick up some more this week...

Also been using my 87 tune as well. Seems to be working out pretty good.

And that stupid fan controller still hasn't shown up. Getting slightly irritated about it. 4wheelparts hasn't even updated the order on it. Soon I hope.

Nice attempt at tint. Interesting and frustrating stuff huh? I tint windows like a pro can, have a hundred bucks in tools. Been learning and schooling myself on it since age 16, but I never do it in winter as once the glass gets cold it usually never adheres. Needs to be in blazing hot sun for a couple days to dry out.

You can order good accurate pre-cuts on eBay, seller FilmVantage in particular. TheY carry 3M Color Stable and Black Box Tint, the two greatest to me.

Tint is probably one of the most frustrating things out there. I had to have tried 5 times on my last truck before I finally tracked down someone to tint it for me. He has since sold his business and the new owners don't tint anymore. The rest of the shops won't touch front windows. I do have a couple heat lamps at my disposal, do you think those would help the tint adhere?

Finding things to pass the time until everything else shows up. Had two putco stick style led's left over from the gf's terrain. now these only have 1 diode on the end, rather than two on either side of the stick(have some more on order, and will swap these to my license plate lights after).

Anyways, here is a side by side of the "bulbs". The multiple diode was what I had, and now the putco stick style.

And a side by side of the output. Hard to really appreciate light output from an iPhone camera.

Again, the pictures don't do either justice. But the putco ones are like daylight. I also recommend them over any other led light. They come in packs of two, for about 20(canadian). They also have the festoon style as well.

Mostly nice. Slight bit dirty, and I have a tiny tear in the driver seat upholstery. Something to just get fixed down the road.
