Pin swapping is not that hard twork do really. Some times you need some special electrical tools to do so, but often times all you need is a pin(needle) or even a paper clip. I'm going to be pulling my doors back apart later today to do mine. I will post pictures and maybe even a how to.

As for the spacers, they are bora. Got the used for 60 dollars. I also never trimmed any off my studs. They poked out less that 1/16". But my factory wheels have grooves machined out between the bolt hole locations. They are easily 3/16" deep if not better.

The only trimming I had to do, was on the valance. The very inside rearward part just clipped the tire. I trimmed it back about an inch. The rear of the tire just barely touches the mudflap on my truck. happy for the stock offset wheel for that as of now. I also want the -12 offset, and will order my rims with that.

Another shot of the bumper! Hard to tell that it has paint on it. One of the nice things about using color matched primer.

One step forward, two steps back. Figured out my very intermittent misfire/shudder(I am really hoping so) with fault p0022 camshaft over retarded. So I hooked up my livewire software, the right side can is reading around 13 degrees at idle, with the other at 45-50. Luckily it hasn't been a year yet, and parts replacement is free. I've reordered both phasers, timing kit, vct housing gaskets, and a new vct solenoid for the drivers side. I may replace the oil pump with one of the Ford racing ones for the gt500 part number M-6600-f46. It's apperently a high volume oil pump.

I really don't know if I should just lock the phasers out or not. It's a small fee through MPT to have my tunes adjusted. But lock outs would be a few weeks out.

Getting really good at removing valve covers, and replacing phasers. Hope it was just a bad phaser, as it's only been 14,000 km since I replaced all the timing stuff.

The good news is, the bumper looks 100 times better than before.

Turned out to be the vct solenoid. Still replaced everything again under parts replacement warranty. Truck runs stronger than before... Again.

Bumper has been reinstalled. Still need to put the rigid's back in.

Looks great Baticus! I think I asked before, but any plans for a painted emblem? Silver & black would compliment it very well. The chrome being black and the blue being silver PTM.

Glad to hear it is running good after the VCT solenoid. Sucks we need to pull the valve covers to get to it.

Thanks Darren. It feels good to have it running great again.

As far as emblems go, I am planning to do a set. And doing them silver and black the way you mentioned. I also will do the newer style f150 emblems as well in silver and black. There is enough paint and clear left over, just need some black. I have also been toying with the idea of painting my grille. Spraying the chrome bits silver, and the black a satin black or leaving it as is.

I'm going to have more time now to focus on the aesthetics of the truck.

Bunper looks great man. What method of sanding did you use to remove the old paint? I'm looking at re-painting my bumper at some point this spring/summer.

I used a 6" orbital with some 160 grit paper. Went light with it once I got through the clear and paint. Finished off with some around 300. 3 coats of high build primer. Blocked out the flatter spots, and hand sanded the edges so I wouldn't burn through the primer.

It was my first time spraying a 2 stage base/clear. It sprays a lot thinner than a single stage paint. So it's easier to get runs. I luckily didn't get any this go around. I then wet sanded the paint to smooth out the light orange peel I had. Cleared it, now I'm waiting on some nicer weather to do a final wet sand and buff. All in all probably 4 hours total work. Although it burned up the whole weekend with dry time.

Been giving the truck a bit of a shake down the past couple of weeks. Sick of the whole phaser issues, so I bought these...

Nothing like tearing into it once more.

Did have a chance to make it to the mountains today. 300 km round trip. No issues.

And obviously the only short coming of the 5.5 foot bed.

Ordered some bilstien 5100's today. Good weekend project. Haven't done too much lately to the truck, have a list of minor repairs. Cam limiters, right side halo in the projector shroud(now that the weathers nice), reverse cam. The list is getting shorter.

Hoping to pull the plug on wheels soon. Been getting a few quotes. 20x10 -12 Mavericks are going to run about 1400 tax and shipping included. Just unsure if I should stick with 20x9, or go with the 20x10. Decisions.

I'm a fan of them. Although a friend referred to them as "belly button wheels". I figure he doesn't know what good taste is.

I'm really just hung up on widths right now. Been trying to expand my knowledge on wheel widths, offsets, back spacing and what not. I think I will like the look of the 20x10's better.

Thanks nfld!

The bilstiens showed up today. That'll be a project sometime next week. They look really good. It'll be nice to have a good ride again.
