Thanks lariat! I guess it wasn't really a bad thing waiting. I have had a few different preferences throughout the years.

Never hurts to wait. If you were to rush it you would have gotten something you didn't like. I'm so glad I took a little extra time looking for mine because I know I wouldn't have liked the first set I was going to get.

Exactly. I'm more happy about the specs of the rim, more than the rim choice. I don't see myself getting sick or tired of them. Price wise was decent as well. Had a few other choices I was contemplating on, bmf novakanes, or the kmc monsters. They were both priced a bit higher, so all in all I made the better choice in favour of the pocket book.

Minor update. The cheap eBay headlights I had purchased for my retrofits are having moisture issues again. The plastic used on the rear bucket has warped in a few places where it meets the lense. So I've pulled them out, and have a mint set of take offs from my parents 06 mark lt (they have been 3m wrapped since new) that I'm going to reretrofit. Luckily I have 2 other sets, one that I had painted dsg, that I will install on their truck.

So along with that will come a color change, updated bulbs and ballasts (mine have lost some luster over the 2ish years they've been installed. As well as demon eyes, and updated backlit halos (thinking switch back ones possibly).

Other than that, the truck has been running beautifully, even managed 18mpg pulling a little trailer with two quads on it.

And a sad day with these reinstalled. It's amazing the difference a set of headlights make...

Warping issue with the replicas eh? I wonder if that's what the problem is with a set I built for a guy. His get moisture in the morning sometimes and it covers the whole inside of the light..
You upgrading to OEM bulbs and ballasts yet? It's worth it!

I wouldnt doubt that could be the cause of his moisture build up. As far as bulbs/ballasts I was running the morimoto's. I've been trying to read up on the different brands before I purchase.

What are you running lariat?

Matsush*ta gen V ballasts and osram CBIs.
The matsus. Will actually mount into your headlight bucket with a 3" hole so no need to pot them. And my next bulb is going to be osram Night Breakers. I put them in my dad's 2010 Chevy with Rx350s and I love them.

I will have to take a look at those then for sure. I'm contemplating changing the projectors to either the rx350, or the Acura TL. Undecided as my fx-r's are perfect.

Both good projectors, TLs are big, but they fit, but the solenoids are hard to hide.
Rx350s are nice and small, but powerful, but are a pain to tune..
If you can find my Rx350 install thread in the lighting page it shows how I installed the matsus

I just read from Page 1 - Page 32. That's a good looking truck you have there! As well, I thoroughly enjoyed all the work you have put into it! Keep up the good work!!!
