Thanks a lot! I like the look of them now. Although it seems like I'm always wanting to change something up with them. I've been looking into hydro dipping stuff, not sure what, or which design. That seems to be holding that project back.

I've got another set on the go for my brothers truck. His 08 f350 got wrote off a month and a half ago. A drunk driver rear ended it while it was parked. It was a sad day.

He's since picked up a white 12' f350, purchased a 6" bds lift that he's had powder coated white, 37/13.5 toyo mt's, and 20x14 -76 fuel hostage wheels. So I'm gonna retro a set of lights for his new truck.

To be honest I'm having lots of fun with the whole retrofitting thing.

Also, I guess I should throw up a picture of my truck as well. Taken the other morning while out coyote hunting.

That's unfortunate for sure. Oh well. Hard to believe that little mopar did that much damage to a Super Duty though.

If you enjoy the retrofitting so much perhaps I could request a build, if I keep the pickup another year or longer could be worth while and re-sold later on. I really really like the way your current headlamps look.

I could easily build you a set. I have a couple spare sets of oem headlights, although I would recommend a set of eBay specials for the new lenses. It's pretty much the cheapest way to get crisp lenses.

So I finally got alignment done today. What a difference. Feels like a new truck. Only downside is more trimming now. So I'll tackle that before work tomorrow morning.

Finally got around to installing my switches. Installed in the overhead console. All run off switched power. Nice to not forget about my halo's anymore.

They have clear lenses, so I opened them in preparation to paint. Unsure of how I'm going to paint them. But I would like to have some silver in there as well as some black.

And a picture from the other day...

Fords-rock, I'm planning on paint matching them silver, with some black touches. Not 100% sure which parts will be black.

Darren, I picked that lower air damn up off another member local to me for like 20 bucks. I know of another guy that just took his off, I could see if he has it still.

Just got done with the paint. Have a few small touch ups to do, then I'll reseal them by the weekend.

Turned out pretty decently I think.

And for future reference, spyder tail lights can be baked open.

what temp on the baking?

how long?

how will you re-attach them.

the black touches on the led lenses(reflectors) is awesome. i wanna do that with some of the black smoked ones. get rid of the clear/silver crystal looking reflectors.

very nice.

what about the reflectors? did you paint over them? we have to have those in texas...

I used a heat gun to open the one light, but I'm sure around 200F should be fine. But I wouldn't leave them in the oven for too long. The lenses are really soft at temperature.

The reflector bits I did just paint over. It wouldn't be too much harder to tape off the reflector, paint around, and then tint the reflector.

As for reattaching, I plan on using butyl sealant. I prefer the stuff that comes in a tube.

I'll post some finished pictures this weekend.
