121k here, rattles and squeaks galore.

rear window motor might be going out now, I'm getting a low voltage and "check gauges" message when I first start the truck.

Interior is screwed too, big hole in the drivers seat and stains everywhere thanks to the crap material they used for the seats.

I think its all in how you care for the interior. My 04 had 155K on it when a nice woman pulled out in front of me and totalled it back in April.

My interior and seats were flawless.

146,500 here on my 2004 5.4 liter 4x4. Just had an exhaust manifold changed last week, had the other one changed last year, both due to holes. Had a cat changed last week as well. Yesterday I changed the fuel pump driver module as a preventative maintenance thing, good thing because it was split open at the seam and literally fell apart in my hand as I was removing it. I had to replace two coils. My spare tire hoist is long shot, had to torch my spare out and now I just keep it in the back of the box. I had to change the airbag sensor LED in the center of the dash a few years ago. I changed the plugs last year, at about 130,000 and none broke. I just put a fuel filter on it. I changed all the gear box and differential fluids a few years ago. The fan speed resistor had to be changed at about 116,000. Just did all 4 rotors and brakes last month. All in all I can't complain, I've had to put some money into it but it's been a good truck. Body is still solid, no rust holes. Like I said, all in all it's been dependable. This is my 5th F-150 in succession, beginning with a 1979, then a 1989, a 1995, a 2001 and now this 2004. Sorry to say though I'm thinking the next one is going to be a Dodge Ram...

Just turned 112K and still have never had any major issues. I'm thinking bout finally getting around to changing the spark plugs, and yes, I know how fun that will be.

I drove a new Lariat Screw yesterday, but it really doesn't drive much better that my 04 so I'm fine keeping it for another 100k. The new ones have some real nice bells and whistles, and the mileage is way better, but not enough to justify the price of a new truck when there is nothing wrong with the one I own.

No rattles, no leaks, and still rides tight and true. The only other thing I'm going to do is get a new head unit so that my iPod can plug right in.

My last post on here was 1-8-08, then my truck had 41,200 miles. Now it has 57,700 miles, so as you can see I don't drive it much. It mainly only gets used for hauling stuff and towing either our camper (about 7000lbs) or various other trailers we have. But mostly its the camper, roughly 1200 miles of the 2000 I have driven the truck this year were pulling the camper. And it gets parked and not driven in the winter so the salt doesn't eat it away.

The only things that I have had to do to truck other than normal maintenance since my last post in this thread, in Sept of 2011 I replaced all the rotors and pads because of warped rotors, then later that month I had a rear caliper replaced. Then just last week I had the parking brake shoes replaced because one side had totally delaminated and was making a horrible clicking sound. Otherwise the truck has been great!

139,200 miles. As soon as I get the exhaust manifolds sealed up it'll be like new.

This month it's 9 years old. Build date is 10/03

172,000

Ive replaced both front hubs and thats it. Which is to be expected at that amount of miles and ill be doing front rotors and pads next summer. And I did rear pads and right rear caliper last summer because it was stuck out.

Another than normal wear items, I havent had to do any work to it. Knock on wood....

Speaking of knocking too, my cam phasers sound like a diesel LOL

280,000 and still going. But not without my share of problems.

Around 100k had to replace drivers side window

Labor Day 2011 I decided to change spark plugs. Three separated in head. Thank goodness I found the Lisle extraction tool.

October 2011 lost reverse in transmission. Order re-manufactured from Ford and 8 hours and $1,800.00 bucks later and a lot of cussing and skint knuckles it was back on the road.

June 2012 started getting the dreaded P0022 and various other OBD codes related to cam phaser. Been driving with right side CPS unplugged.

October 2012 currently replacing timing chains and guides. (see post dated today). I think that will fix above CPS problems also.

Needs: cracked windshield replaced, door switch to stop interior lights from flickering on and a passenger window control on the driver side.

Had to replace transmission in my wife's 2007 escape last week so on that note I am thankful my F-150 is not front wheel drive!

Mine is a '03, not '04, but it has the 5.4 with 230,000+ miles. I bought it about a year ago, and the previous owner had ALL the maintenance records for it since new! Other than routine maintenance (plugs and COPs at 110,000 and 200,000, brake pads & rotors turned at 128,000, new rotors & pads at 210,000, routine oil changes & etc.) it has not needed anything major at all. It runs like a train, pulls my 6,000 lb. travel trailer just fine thank you, and is a daily driver to and from work, as well as shopping and etc. on weekends. The driveline (trans, u-joints, rear axle) have no problems or noises. I have Magnaflow catback duals, and a K&N cai, as well as some appearance items, but other than that, it's completely stock. I figure that, given reasonable care and upkeep, and no calamatous events (soccer moms in SUVs texting the kids while driving, for instance?), it should last to 500K miles with no problems.

98k on mine. it is the best vehicle i have ever owned strictly because it is my first truck. with a few mods, it runs like a bat out of hell. lots of potential in that 330 unleashed by the gryphon and stainless works exaust system. i love this truck. i hope that the little bit of cam phaser lash at idle will stay that way. i lost the passenger side exhaust manifold while towing a uhaul trailer up the side of a mountain range but that is the only problem i have had. it was just in time for the new exhaust system to show up anyways

92K miles more or less. Not flawless, but not bad.

Purchased in 4/06 with 16K or so on the Odometer as a lease return vehicle since then I have had the following issues.

18K miles. Transmission started slamming between gears. New transmission under warranty.
32K miles, drivers door regualtor broke. Replaced under warranty.
85 or so K miles, noticed unusual wear to the front tires. By 91K they are trashed. From what I can tell in the driveway, it looks like the upper ball joints are trashed. 35" rubber and a leveling kit, I can't complain too much. Not going to fault Ford for this EXCEPT I doubt this would have gotten bad this fast if the ball joints had grease zerks like any conventional vehicle should have. I have the parts on order to replace all the ball joints / UCAs, and throwing new shocks at it.
89K miles, MAF and Throttle body gummed up with oil from the K&N. Again not Ford's fault.
75K miles. Drivers side thigh bolster fabric worn through from sliding in / out of the front seat. I DO blame Ford for this. I have never liked the interior fabric on my truck.

All in all. I am planning on a future leather interior swap, and I am keeping my truck. It's paid for, and what is wrong with it is very minor in the grand scheme of things...

107k...

New plugs, new cam phasers, new brakes, rear end rebuilt, 2nd set of ball joints barrings tierods and bushing since 60k (my fault since I have a level kit and and 33's) and she eats batterys. The great thing is she is completely rust free as I have had her oil under coated her entire life. She looks brand new underneath!

Tranny is holding on but is going to need to be rebuilt or a replacement soon. Dr Tranny is my friend right now and is helping with the torque converter and shifting. Bangs hard from fist to second when you get on it..... (no lies dr tranny is amazing)

Needless to say I'm pretty gental on the old girl and she sits a lot.... I driver her on the weekends to keep everything in check. I still have no problem loading up two sleds in -10 degree weather and driving 3 hours to go snowmobiling. All and all I'm still absolutely in love with my truck and since she is paid for i don't plan on selling it anytime soon. We are both in the long haul!

The first owner beat the **** out of her so if she needs a tranny or a motor someday she will get! She doesn't owe me anything anymore
