Hey man, sorry to hear about your frustration.

On a side note, I've seen alot about the MonsterBox tranny, but I've never seen/heard exactly what makes it different/better. Does it handle more HP, or is it just more durable for the same HP? Reason I ask is because I tow a large travel trailer pretty frequently. I fully expect that my tranny will take a crap 1 mile after my warranty is up. So I'm trying to plan well in advance what tranny I'd replace it with.

Rated to possibly handle 1200 or 1500 HP.. it's not making that much.

I'm sticking with 12.00...

Talking

I just spent the last 15 minutes digesting everything Rafa has done to this truck & I've got to say ... whoa... I can't wait to see what happens the first time you breathe on the good pedal!!! Sorry to hear about the delay issues w/JDM, hope you can get at least a decent justification for that...

So any bets on how long it'll take someone to mount a Pratt & Whitney Jet to the back of a FX2 just to top this monster???

Rafa, please - For the sake of everyone who has read your ongoing project with anticipation, PUH-LEEEZE mount a video camera pointed at your FACE the first time you stomp on it!!! -

Have troyer put all your shift firmness to stock and use the Factory Tech C-plate. It is cheap and a great mod. But so far i have been the only person i have found that has done it on a 04+ F150 (so far). I have a plate right now that is customized for what i want.

Could you elaborate a little more? What exactly does a c-plate do? And how would it help my tranny to last longer?

In between the main transmission case and valve body is a separator plate. This plate is what mainly controls your shifts and shift speeds. You open the "orifices" you fill the valve body quicker and leads to a "better shift" (what i think of it) without sacrificing on any aspect. You can also change the springs in the accumulators or even run NO SPRINGS for a tire chirping shift w/o raising your shift pressures via PCM.

I don't follow. Rated at mean it can withstand that w/o blowing apart. I think Raf said they were going to keep it at 700rwhpish. So maybe mid to high 10s if he can hook up with some stret slicks

Hard to get sarcasm to come across on a message forum.

How much hp and tq is he putting down with this truck? I'm sure Rafa is going to have some huge hp and tq numbers, but there is a huge difference between a 2-door, smaller frame, single cab truck and a 4-door, huge frame, 4wd Mark LT. With driver, this truck will weigh in excess of 6000 lbs. That's a huge difference and it will take a lot more power to equal the times that Johnny Lightning is reaching. At one time, my truck and car had the same crank hp, but by no means would my truck even touch the quickness of my car.

Exactly, it was also the 97-03 body in a scab, so it weighed significantly less. It was also 2wd so it doesn't have the driveline loss of a 4x4 to deal with.
