You deserve a 70% discount man, how can a "serious company" hold a car for 7 months ?
They don't have any respect for you man. A top customer like you didn't deserve that.
Sorry.

Nobody answered the phone !!!
I am the customer, but i never know nothing, my phone calls aren't returned !
That's what i am living guys !
That's the kind of communication between me and JDM !!
Professional ??
What do you think ??
if i was you i would show up there with a tow truck and pick it up and take it elsewhere, the way that they are treating you is very unprofessional, just because he is famous for his work doesnt mean that he should treat you or anyone else different

The problem really lays into how patient you are going to be for their quality. If you start threatening them, or become the a$$hole that calls everyday and is rude to everybody you speak with, you'll probably get your truck back faster, but not done in the quality that you are expecting... and paying for. I think if I were in your shoes, I'd sit it out and wait for it to be done. I'm not saying to let these guys walk all over you, I'd keep the pressure on, but I'd keep from pissing them off to the point that they will finish it to just get it out the door. I'd at least sit them down in their office and make them give you a full explenation of what is taking so long.
When they do say it is ready and come pick it up, I'd discuss that final amount you owe them and ask them how they can reciprocate you for the delays with getting your truck back. Keep a balance on the job until it is complete, then you might have some negotiating power.

Not withstanding the lack of a legitimate explanation, giving them just a little more 'breathing' room would be prudent, with, as mentioned some pressure, & skin in the game (recompense & witholds). It appears so close, that, choosing a drastic course of action is not in your best interests (right now).
JDM does have a good reputation in general, right?
- OR - your truck IS finished, and they're on a 5,000 mile 'test' drive
Good luck Rafa - absolutely fantastic project
Cheers

05RoushMarkLT, my education does not allow me to act with JDM or anyone else like that.
I am the kind of guy that calls like once a week or less. Actually most of the time, i called them once every 15 days.
The result of that you can read on this post.
