That's why I said 12.00

That's on a good day.

Still though.. It's an awesome project and will be sure to make magazine covers (or at least a few articles)

Just call JDM and tell them you are coming to pick up your vehicle. Then go there and sit in the shop and refuse to leave until it is done....

I would be soooo pissed! Needless to say, but I think this has hurt JDM's rep big time. Nothing like a bad rep and stories about problems circulating all the message boards to ruin a business. Just look at Hennesey. Anybody want to take their Viper there for mods?

I don't know ANY of the actual details of this situation, but I will venture a guess.

JDM takes the job, knows Rafa has the cash, and will have no choice but to finish the job once started.

They also realize that they can't continue to fulfill their daily/weekly smaller jobs with their men working Rafa's project 24/7.

so what happens? Every time a quick job comes in, they stop working on Rafa's truck, and do the quick money makers instead.

It happens all the time in stereo shops...wouldn't doubt something similar here.

The real sin here is lack of communication on the part of the vendor. Everyone gets behind schedule from time to time, and the best thing a vendor can do is to keep the customer informed and in the loop - even if it is isn't the best news - a little PR would help here.

Hey Rafa, now that the 3.3L is about to be released and Kenne Bell has will release their 2.8H blower in Feb., have you decided to swap the blower? KB is getting 810 rwhp on theirs and Whipple has put down 653 rwhp. These numbers are on the GT500 with stock internals.

I think you hit the nail on the head...these shops don't turn down jobs...they got started on Rafa's truck, other work came in, and they got started on those vehicles as well...One they start on your vehicle, they got you locked in...you almost have to let them finish because it'll cost you twice as much to pull it and send it to another shop...I had a big bore kit done on a motorcycle and I know the tech who was working on my bike...I'd call him at night and he'd tell me what was going on...they kept pulling him and putting him on smaller jobs...took about twice as long as what they quoted...the only silver lining is when you get your vehicle back, and it's strong as hell, you tend to forgive them because the added power makes it worth the wait...
