1/8 mile 9.47 @70.2
1/4 mile 15.16 @ 84.9
this was at level 2 octane at 89 shift points 1-2 (2) 2-3 (2) 3-4 (1)
wot fuel was 1.3 tire size was 2559

the only difference today was the shift firmness was set to 0. funny how the overall speed was better on the second run but slower time. can't wait to put in the 91 octane level and do another test. also still want to compare stock numbers after all this. the slower 60' time was more tire spin on takeoff.....hope this helps....
next run
60' =2.47@ 28.2
1/8= 10.15@ 71.00
1/4= 15.8 @ 85.4
two 0-60mph runs (today) were 6.9 and 6.97
First off thanks to the two guys w/ both tuners for posting info on both. I have a quick question, some of you have been posting about sending the xcal2 tuner back to T.P. after the dealer reflashes your pcm, I was under the impression that the xcal2 had the ability to hook up to a comp for updates - is this true?
The website includes this :
"7.) USB cable required to connect the Xcalibrator 2 to your laptop or desktop PC for things like datalogging, email program updates, Internet firmware updates, etc."

I think that is another $65 or so option..Not 100% sure..but look on the website and it should have an option to order the email updates

Not really. It it exactly like a real christmas tree.
If you leave early, it red lights. If you don't leave at all, the timer doesn't start until you do.

I think your timing device that you used for the 1.76 60' time is a LITTLE off
You'd be picking up pieces of your driveline after that... IF your tires hooked up.
why are there any personal attacks anyway. this is opinionated blogging. if you disagree with a point of view state it and keep the reat to yourself. i stated in another thread... you guys have a special piece here(5.4 3v). with vct your tune can make HP limited only by your lift and duration, not by cam phasing. ther are going to be innovativr tuners that are going to take advantage of that fact and reatrd the cams for big HP gains. i fully expect to get more HP just by revving it higher. just because it is rated a (X) rpms, doesn't mean it makes more than that at just a few hundred more rpm's. you are no longer just tuning fual and spark curves, you are phasing the cams in conjunction.

Apology to HWM3
Sorry for doubting your numbers, i truly believe they are real. That being said, i went to my hunting camp this weekend and did a 1/4 test with mine using the edge timer. 15.13 at 92 mph. 3/4 tank of gas, full load of tools/hunting stuff and 2 hrs of 80mph heat in the engine. I still have the shift settings at stock, so there is more there. Remember, i have a 2wd screw. Dont know how accurate the edge timer is though. Can you do a comparo between the edge and gtech timers?
I dont think there is "much" difference between an adjusted Edge and a Troyer tune. That is my opinion though and a dyno test would be very interesting to see.

This is why I used the Gtech to time and not the Edge, one less variable.
I'm sure the Edge is capable of producing the same results as the Xcal2, it's just a matter of finding the right combination. That's where I think the Xcal2 has the big advantage, someone has already done the work for you. All you have to do is load it and enjoy.

Load it and enjoy? BS!! to get the full performance you have to spend much dollars and time to tweak the Xcal 2 (datalogging) I think it might be worth it, but the work is not "already done for you"
Are all the parameters available to you in the xcal2? So that, provided you had the ability, you could simply adjust the fuel etc yourself instead of waiting for MT to send you the cure? Is it another 6 week wait when you send in the data? Just curious as to how that's done.

My settings were at 1.85 WOT Fuel and 93 octaneand upped the sift firmness a bit. Also did a 0-60 at 7.20 seconds.
