Are you telling me that you can buy an Xcal2, hook it to your truck, then change the gear ratio, tire size, octane rating, shift points, etc?

I was under the impression that the Xcal2 was pre-loaded, and all it did was read the PCM and re-flashes it with it's pre-made tune.

Edit, never mind, I just looked up that info.

Thanks.

No problem. I only wish everyone would learn a little about the products before making assumptions.

Here's the last warning for EVERYONE in this thread.

Personal attacks will result in you being dismissed from the site.

I have ZERO problems with posting opinions, numbers, underwater basket weaving instructions, and so on... but, when phrases like 'you're an idiot' are tossed, I'll take exception.

I'm leaving this thread open as it has some good information in it but, if you can't accept someone taking you to task and questioning data (on either side of this arguement), then you're not welcome at f150online.com.

End of story. *YOU* have a nice day.

I apologize for anything I said that was out of line. It's just that I take exception to being called a liar after going out of my way to give some unbiased info about these 2 products.

Anyway, the numbers are there. Believe them or not, it doesn't make a difference to me.

Again, I have no problem with you or any other member in good standing here at f150online.com posting their own observations about a product, service or similar. I WILL NOT tolerate insults, smart-**** comments, and general butthole-like activity... especially directed towards me.

I'll make the safe assumption that your little 'stab' above was to everyone; not the guy (me) that was actually helping to defend your status to post information that is beneficial to some.

If you want to be pissed off... that's fine. You **WILL NOT** drag me into your line of fire though.... re-read my last couple of posts in this thread... it's just about as grey as they come and I could easily take a side.

It wasn't a 'stab' at anyone. All I was saying is that I'm not gonna debate it anymore. No offense intended.

HWM3,

I may come down to your place this weekend and we can run those tests again, just to "verify."

Are you going to be around this weekend?

JD TIT:

Stirring the pot puts you in the same boat as what I described above. Don't try me... okay?

I had ZERO level of misunderstanding in what I said. You're stepping into a thread that has been volatile since its conception and you're smacking the hornets nest.

You're trying to get people to continue on with the argument that has spun from the context of this thread.

I *WILL NOT* allow you to do that. If you wish to do that, you can go find another Titan board to participate on because you won't be welcome at this F-Series board.

It's simple smart-arsed statements like you're "I'll even video tape it" crap that starts problems. I, for one, don't tolerate it nor do I like playing referee in on stupid childish immaturity.

Take it to the bank JD... I'm not going to continue this thread much longer nor will your membership be continued much longer if you continue to be at the center of problematic threads.

I stood up and said that I have no problems with data being posted nor do I have a problem with anyone questioning said data. I have a problem when it starts jumping over the realm of data sharing into the realm of stupidity and immaturity.

We have a very strong thing at f150online.com and an even stronger base here in the 04/06 forum. That will not be compromised by continued stupidity within this, or any other, thread. It detracts from what we've built and sustained here.

Is that a bit more clear?

RP

So HWM3, are you going to be around your house this weekend? I've got an exhaust mod on my mind that we need to do to the Tit.

Hi All,
Like HWM3, I have both the MT Xcal2 and the Edge.

WARNING!!!! This is an opinion, mine.

I believe HWM3's numbers. I can only take his numbers and relate them to the "butt-dyno" until I get to a real dyno for testing.

I do like the Edge for light throttle drivability but it seems to flatten out in the higher rpm range. It seems to be getting better fuel mileage but I have to GPS verify my speedometer. I also like the compact nature for PID monitoring with the Edge. I will be doing some more experimenting with WOT fuel settings to get it dialed in as best as my butt-dyno can detect.

I do like my MT Xcal2 as well. It pulls harder especially from mid to high rpm range, period. I am sure MT can get me better light throttle response without sacrificing my current power. This is the drawback, I will have send it back to MT for changes but overall it is the best of the 2 will get only better with a retune after I get my dyno numbers. When I go to the dyno I will do a comparison of the Edge and MT Xcal2 supposed "canned tune". I am not going to do this until about the end of Feb. So don't expect it anytime soon.

Again like HWM3, I have paid my money for my own comparison and curiosity. I know there are many skeptics from both sides of the fence. I would suggest that all of those skeptics take the posted data at face value. Until such time you can prove your points or disprove others by investing your money and time. Then I am sure most here will respect your data and opinions.

Again this is just my OPINION and nothing else until I get hard data.

Cheers!!
