Sounds similar to my problem. I had to have the entire transmission in my truck replaced. Print out the thread containing my TSB 04-3-3 story from this -> LINK <- and give it to your dealer.

@ DrkShadow - You should do the same.

Since I had that work done, the vibration has not returned. Good luck to both of you!!

UPDATE

Per Ford customer Rep.

Ford will issue 3 new TSB's in the next 3 weeks for vibration.

Some descriptions of fixes were:

- Revised steering gear box
- Kit to lower center bearing on driveshft ( must be for 2 piece )
- revised vibration dampener
- Will address the tires again
- Kit for different body mounts ( this is a new one, I think )

I must say these don't seem to be any different from the original
TSB's. I was hoping to hear they have actually found some new fix. This sounds like another long process of trial and error.

I guess I need to follow through with my DSB hearing next week.

Took mine in this morning for the vibe. I'm getting it between 40-55 MPH. The dealer told me they just purchased a machine that is supposed to correct the problem. I guess we'll see. I'll re-post when I get it back.

Machine? They going to road force balance the tires? Wish you luck! That won't help. My tires have been rebalanced 5 or 6 times now. I've lost track.

Yes, they are going to road force balance the tires, in addition to whatever this $25K machine that they just got delivered is supposed to do. I'm not mechanically inclined so I didn't bother to ask what the machine did. I wouldn't have understood it anyway. When I talk to them, I'll try to get an understanding of what it's supposed to do and I'll post it. I just want the vibration gone.

Meet with FSE

Mailed my Florida Lemon LAw papers to Ford on 11/8, got a call from my local dealer today, I meet with the FSE on 11/23. The service manager stated the FSE had a new TSB, one that the local service department has not seen yet. I will get a copy or a number at our meeting.

The dealer wants to give me a Taurus as a loaner. Has anyone gotten "upgraded" to at least a vehicle equal to the one they dropped off?

There is surely a shake up. I got a call from the dealer's cust. service mgr. stating there's been a new development, he talked with a Ford Engineer re: my truck. I sure hope it's a real fix now.
Let me know if anyone finds details to this before I do. I'm waiting til after the holiday to mess with this.

Don't get your hopes up read my previous post from 11/19.

That info came from the Dispute Resolution Specialist from Ford.

I know. I just don't want to go thru the same crap with DSB. We just want this fixed. 3 new TSB's? I wonder what the determining factor is as to which one to use? I've only got 2 more repair attempts left in me.

gmascellino,

Very few. You should have seen 1 of my "loaners". I called it the PIMPMOBILE! It was a 95 Lincoln Town Car with 138,000 miles. WTF!?!. The other was a Siebel that vibed worse then my truck (bad tire I think).

Thanks. Yes I'm looking at getting an 05. I have the X-Plan through my company; however I don't know if I can use it on this buy back plan....

Can't have them just do a buy back like you wanted to get a, cough cough, Chevy? Then do a fresh buy w/o all the rules? Good luck with the process, at least I know a bit how it works in case I have to do that too.
