exactly but you know people these days blame everyone else and a hole insurance companies would love a claim like that and would fight every which way to put me at fault and not have to pay.

the cop was an idiot
all he said was "theyre illegal, see they have to be red just like everyone elses"

i sort of tried explaining my taillight situation to him and how they are technically legal and yadda yadda but i could tell it was aggravating him so i just kinda dropped it

 

Thats gay! I would have too! They have no reason really legally to give you a ticket for them if any two brake lights on your truck are visible from 500 feet.

 

you have to have reflectors visible from xxx feet too

 

If he is not being objective with you then you can use that on him in court. Anytime they start getting angry is bad for them.. not you. Even if you get the tickets which you will I am sure, you can just fight them off until it becomes illegal to tint your tail lights. Legal is legal, and just because he is biased towards them dont mean that him ticketing you will ever actually follow through.

Stick that reflective red tape where the line of fire thing is.

Peace officers are trained to be objective at all times. When they are not being objective then you can say that they were just ticketing you because of an emotional "ego trip" or "vandetta". That little dash cam proves it! Now that doesnt give you the right to be facetious towards him though, because remember anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law.

Looks like I did learn something in criminal justice. Who knew

 

haha i took a business and personal law class in hs and we did a mock trial. i got to be the defense attorney and i objected to everything the state had to say and won the case. got a 100 on the trial, a in the class and the teacher told me to go to law school after i got my ME degree. doubt that its too much paperwork

ahhh yes the woodlands apartments, many a time have i partied there! haha i used to live in college station at the melorse apartments (now known as the district) and they were horrible but we never got any complaints when we had parties! hah, anyway the truck looks good man! next time im down in college station for a visit ill keep an eye out for your ride!
