It's a different gear than the gears in the rear end it's lime a small plastic gear from what I've heard. You could just sign up for triple a when you don't carry a spare

I'd probably do just the gears then worry about what'll take to do the 9.75 if the issue arises I mean were still in they hypothetical phase here haha but soon enough it'll be an issue and something that'll be a pain to deal with

I know what you mean, but I dont think I want to go get the speedo fixed by the dealer. I guess I am going to though.. idk.

I have never heard anything bad about a 8.8 with gears, but then again I dont know anyone personally who has them. Actually BAF150 does, ask him. He has a 3:55 open diff, and then put 4:56's in the rear. The only thing that I know of that you have to do with the 8.8 or I guess any diff is change the cover. Most of the time the stock covers dont allow enough room.

I niteshaded my tails today. I did it even though my light is cracked. They look good, but I didnt do it that dark. Hopefully I can do another coat and they would still be legal. They look waaay better than cherry red.

Haha! All I did was take them out and clean them. And then I put adhesion promoter and then sprayed the dang things. It was a somewhat medium-heavy coat, but its only one. I am going to let them dry for a little bit, and then maybe do another coat if I decide I wanna go darker.

I have not sanded anything. There is no need to when you dont let it clump up on you. Just make sure to shake the can around alot, and dont let them dry in direct sunlight so you dont get any orange peel.

yup. id definatley wet sand that coat and it looks like the bottom corners arent getting as much as the rest but that could be the light reflecting from behind them.

just do the wet sand its real easy and will make a big difference. you can feel it if you run your fingers over before and after. i could tell the difference on my grille surround.

Thats a good price. I wouldnt use 1,000 though.. unless you were wanting to do it between niteshade coats. Actually, I didnt wait for the first coat to dry, and then sand and do the next. I dont care if its starts to fade on me because I am considering changing tails anyways. I have a buddy who just sprayed his lights while they were on the truck and it lasted almost a year before fading out. I dont think I will have OEM tails that long, and if I do then I will do it right later. To me 1000 is too much scuff for anything other than in between coats. I had thought about clearing it too, but I dont think I am going to. This stuff is pretty shiny as-is.

I am going to wetsand/polish them after this and call it a day.
