yea i used the 1000 in between coats and will do the same with the nightshades. ill probably do three coats depending how dark they look after 2. dont forget your 3rd brake light. i havent been impressed with the clears ive tried. they seem to give it a creamy white color in some spots even though i used light coats so im not sure if ill be doing that on the tails.

first take a pic of your truck from the rear. i did mine kind of looking down at it from a ladder. then you make the background of the truck red, basically anything you dont want shown is red. then you save it as a certain file and when its plugged into the comp you save it to the tomtom and you can then select it for the arrow. if you plug it into the comp it will have a link with all the info to do it. i cant look it up now but im sure you can find it.

Hey jake, I used the Duplicolor Auto Spray clear coat and it doesn't turn milky when ya spray it on in heavier coats. It's sold at most of the auto stores, O'reilers, Advanced, Auto Zone.. it's a real small can, 1 will be enough.

I re-sprayed my tails after the last clearcoat started to fail.. this spray was much better, and looks pretty glossy even without buffing them.

Well it dried a little lighter than what I had expected. I am not finished with them yet. I plan on doing another coat. My camera was being really gay and the flash made it look lighter that it really was. I only have one good picture and its this one. They are much darker in person, but not enough for my liking.
I had to put them back on the truck though because I have to use it tomorrow

Its the freakin flash or whatever that camera was doing. Oh well. As dark as they are right now the light from just having the parking lights on can be seen by waay more than 50 feet. I can still go a long way.

I have no idea. I didnt buy them because I was going to make my own, but I have not even thought about it since I did the body lift. The gap doesnt really bother me so I havent thought about it. I might make some though Idk.

get some xlt mirrors, pop out the mirror and have a shop line-x em. shouldnt be too expensive, or you can ptm them if you still have paint left over. its a subtle difference, but any 97-03 owner will agree.

haha thanks man i think you told me to do the xlt mirrors on tts.

they cant be lined cuz it wont stick to the plastic and easily chip off. im gonna find a set soon and have the ptm if they arent already. i just need to find me some at a decent price.

my buddy sold em to me off his truck. hes a member on TTS.

go to a scrap yard, and look around. it takes probably 2 minutes to rip apart. it only takes 5 to pull a door apart if you're extremely careful. and if im not mistaken you dont have power locks and windows so you can get your door panel off quick. im not too sure how much they'd sell them for. but i cant imagine they'd sell them for much.

see i dont have a buddy to do that with. did he use your xl mirrors. haha

i know i can get them off easy since they are only 3 bolts each and took mine off this summer to paint them.

the yards ive called that have them want around 35 each which is more than im willing to spend on some used ones that will be in questionable condition. they run 40 smooth and 50 textured on lmc so im gonna keep looking and when i get them youll be the first to know haha
