I got a sportlid fiberglass tonneau. i found it cheap on CL. only problem is its red, so im gonna sand it down and do a layer of bedliner.

Hey man, truck looks awsome... How much is your speedo off after you added the 285 BFG's? I have the same style of truck and want to put the 1.5 daystar lift and do the bigger tires. Thanx...

 

im off by about 7-9 when going 70 (the speedo reads around 61) and it gets up to 10 going faster and lower going slower. its not bad. if you have a 99+ i think you can correct it with a programmer

 

thanks man... i just ordered the 1.5 daystars today. Hopefully i can get my tires soon. I've been thinking about going maybe a inch bigger tire and maybe a bit wider than my stock 255's,but i love the look of the 285's...I have a 97 4.2 5-speed single cab. i'm kind of worried about my speedo being off.

 

you might as well just get the 285's since if you dont your gonna want them about 5 minutes after you get other tires. haha.

just get a cheap gps and use it to give you a more accurate speed like i do.

 

ive been using some spare time to work on the badges and got the triton 5.4 smoothed and im painting them now.



also got some new (used) lights in. im gonna take the covers off tonight after i aim them and i wired the 2 outside ones to my current switch so i can run them at night legally (only 4 lights allowed and the are 55w and aimed below the windshield is legal) and the center will be to another switch as a spot.

the prerunner bar is made by n-fab in houston and its the one for the 99-03. i got mine of craigslist for 50 bucks and the first lights were off ebay and the second set i got off a guy on here. two of them have a rectangular beam so i got them aimed to be able to use them on the road and the other one is a spot and its going to be wired to another switch and im gonna get a brighter bulb maybe

 

My inlays also came in today. i might have the time to get these on tomorrow so well see what goes on.

 

hey man love the way its turnin out, specially the light bar and headlights i did the line-x and rockers on my white truck. where did you get your headlights?

 

thanks man. i got the headlights off ebay. they were 120 shipped and the customer service has been great so far. the passenger side one is leaking so they are sending me a new one which ill seal up both so i can make sure they dont leak again
