My last truck F150 97 4.6 4x4 had over 50k when I sold it. Very dependable engine, no problems. Only had to do regular maintanence every 3k.
My husbands truck, a F350 97 4x2 5.4 work truck takes a LOT of abuse including not having regular maintanence done on it. One oil change was after 20k miles had been put on. I had to threaten my husband with death because he was driving on bald tires. He got tired of hearing me nag so he's taking much better care of his truck now. Even so, his engine runs strong and smooth, go figure!!

23 months and 16,000 miles and no problems with the engine. I wish I could say the same thing about the ESOF System.

My lease is up in 1 month and my new truck should be here this week.

Had a 97 with the 4.6. 4x4 extended cab. had it for 3 years and 1 month. 80k miles with not a wimper.

Got a 2000 5.4 4x4 in Sept. I've got about 14k on it now with no problems.

8K miles, call me flawless 4.6. Unfortunately did have tranny leak, took dealer three trips to fix. Also, dome light wouldn't go off, but a different dealer got that one fixed first time. Oh I forgot even though he got it right first time it took 7 days (to turn of my dome light).
The only complaints I have are with dealer service.

My '99 with the base 4.2l V6 has 89,000 on it right now. No engine trouble at all, doesn't burn oil, loves 85mph on the freeway (as long as it's straight, anyway). Keeping my fingers crossed.

 

19,700 miles,no problems

 

97 4.6 here 123k. just the infamous exhaust manifold bolt and a new starter.otherwise shes been great

 

26000 miles and no problems even with aftermarket accessories since about 7K. I drive it like its stolen every day.

 

72,000 on the current Ford with zero problems.

Past Fords...
1970 F250 Camper Special 360 - 225000 miles with no problems.
1986 Mustang LX 3.8 - 183000 when we sold it, no problems.
1995 Ranger XCab 4x4 4.0 - 155000 when I traded it for the F150 (needed something bigger) - had water pump replaced at about 20K under warranty, and no other problems after that.
1997 Explorer AWD 5.0 - 140000 and zero problems

And people ask why I like Fords.
