With all the talk about all these engine problems, and since most ppl without problems don't really post a topic saying "I've driven my F150 50,000 miles without engine problems" let's see how many RELIABLE F150s are out there.
Myself, no engine problems at 6000 miles

No problems here, at 7600 miles. I have had problems with my alarm system {aftermarket that dealer suggested} , and thats it.

 

Piston slap/rough idle/blown heater hose/rear end studdering on acceleration/AC stinks/decreased power after Ford installed remanufactured engine for piston slap

If it does, I have NOT ever had a problem with any of my 3 302's. Just routine maintence, plugs wires, etc etc. Well, maybe a miss for awile. I always get it covered ASAP

97 F150 with 4.6 had 50000 miles on it when I traded for an Expedition. Only in to the dealer for the lug nut recall.

 

I'm on my 7th F-series truck. I have NEVER had an engine issue. Lucky huh??
My 99 is at 13000 mi, and hasnt been back to the dealer yet......

'87 with the 5.8L H.O. - Flawless except for gas mileage, ugh! Was traded in for:

'97 with 4.6L - Flawless engine. Was traded in for:

'99 with 5.4L - Flawless except for rough idle which was fixed.

Never had a Ford (5 since 1970) that left me stranded. Can't say the same about the 5 German and Japanese cars I've owned in the past.
