Correct as the engine warmed up, I saw in the video it was holding steady at 700 rpm. I'll swap 5 for 8 tomorrow to see if that follows.

The ticking is still there, honestly I don't think I've ever heard it before. I can hear the ticking too when standing in front of the engine, hood closed I hear it more on the side.

What does an exhaust leak sound like? I'll listen for that too tomorrow. And I'll also get the code and post it here.

Thank you guys!

Alright, after playing on the ice all day with the FD & ice rescue training,

I came home to tinker some more and got another video: This is right under the passenger side.
YouTube - CIMG2326

The ticking I'm hearing my friend Jason said sounds like an exhaust leak similar to what he has on his Chrysler. But as I crawled under it and took this video, I heard the ticking more in the middle of the engine. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'll let you guys be the judges.

Also have a video here:
YouTube - CIMG2324
of the engine shaking very hard at 0:16 in. Upon startup I could feel the shake but couldn't capture it on film to show. So when messing with the throttle that did it again. What do you think? Motor mounts loose?

Stethoscope the noise, from the pulleys, exhaust manifold, back to the trans. Also, the injectors on that side. That doesn't sound like an injector, but it's possible. Great camera you got there, I could full screen it and it's clear as a bell, - good sound ! The ticking sounds internal don't it ? - Ahh, it's probably exhaust, but I can hear all my injectors echoing thru the exhaust from under the truck. Stethoscope with something like a long screw driver will pin point.

That Motor mount is loose or the passenger side is binding. You can support the motor right under the oil pan per Ford Service. You can then take the trans mount loose and kick the engine from side to side. That's to reposition on the mounts if it's not set right. Yea, inspect while doing so, make sure drivers side isn't broken.

Thank you! I just got this camera too. I think it has great quality and sound. What do you think about the lifters? From what I'm reading it sounds similar to what I've been hearing. Injector as in fuel injector? If so I replaced all of those with new ones.

Yea, you don't have lifters.

There called "hydraulic lash adjusters" . A fulcrum that supports one end of the cam follower, the other contacts the valve tip. The hydraulic fulcrum acts like a lifter in the sense that it maintains zero lash. If that hydraulic fulcrum sticks or gets gummed up, you will get valve noise.

If it is the hydraulic lash adjusters, or them just being gummed up, would some of Marvels mystery oil fix it?

When I was under it and it was very cold, I didn't see any exhaust coming from where the headers meets the cat.

I'll do that, I have my littmann handy and will listen around. I'll report back tomorrow on that one.

As for the follower, I tried looking that up, found a bunch of Ford loyalist sites

But it's looking like something I'd have to take the valve covers off to see right?

didn't read this all sorry if this has been done or suggested...but I did watched the 2 videos...so just throwing this out there.
before tryng any super cure all in a can.

get 2 oil filters "motorcraft ones" and enough oil of your choice for a changing the engine oil.

change the filter...leave the oil in for now.
I'd put a 1/2- quart of cheap ATF in the crank case....go for a good drive, making sure your up to temp....15-25 miles.

get back & change your oil while still warm...and new filter. see if this improves the ticking

I'll look up a local dealer for autoRx this evening.

I'd have to take the valve covers to check and see if the follower fell off later on right?
