Well that makes much more sense. I was just looking for the rubber elbow like photoed above. I've heard of people just buying that and putting it on.

Nah,- the one that most people have a problem with is in back by the firewall. Yours looks pretty bad. I wouldn't be surprised if the elbow back by the firewall has holes in it, -or close to it.

I'll check and see as honestly I was going to ask where that was located, but the photo you posted shows it. I am interested to find that out now.

Just took it off and no holes, but looks pretty clogged like the other part in the photos above. Looks like I'll need a new one of those after all.

Still sounds like a coil. I would pull the TB and elbow and give it a good cleaning also. Maf and things like that.

What's the TB? MAF has been cleaned, along with the other sensor So that's all set.

TB= Throttle body, on top of the intake. Pull it off and clean it with tb cleaner and a little round wire brush thing to clear out the ports on it.

Will do! Ran it today and it told me Cylinder 8 was misfiring again. Ran like crap. Shut it down, went over to a friends who has a very nice scanner and got the P1000 code. Manually checking everything in the scanner, we found the CHT sensor when the motor was hot was .88, according to the scanner it should be 4.14. I've got it in the garage and will tear it apart tomorrow.

P1000 is normal, -just means all your monitors haven't run yet. CHT, you got me on that one, never heard of that before. When it's bad, you get a CEL and a DTC.

Also, a problem you can have with the CHT is the harness itself. Wires sever inside the insulation at the bend. I've made two for mine so far.

The sensor threads into a dry socket into the head and never corrodes. The brass bulb stays clean. Low voltage would be a sign that it may be connected by just a few hairs, - know what I mean ?

That makes sense. Where is the location of the CHT? I don't have manual and couldn't find it searching on here. I'll check that out tomorrow. Thank you!

I can't show yuh because the albums aren't working, so I can't post a pic. Drivers side head inside. You have to look behind the alternator. Yea, you have to take the top end off to access.

Got a question - How do you get the cruise control cable to release from the throttle body? I was going clean mine last weekend, but couldn't figure out how to get that cable off.

Pull straight up. It pops off and snaps on.

And no, you won't break it lol.

Got mine off today and took my time with that. Just some patience and it came right off.

Question: Auto parts guy said that engine de-greaser will work as well as throttle cleaner. Is this true? Want to know before I go ahead.
