Anyway, I'm picken up some 2" extenders later today. That's the only size I can find. I'll crank up the T-bars if I have to and get it re- aligned. See what happens.

If that fails - off to Sears with a tape measure for some Monroe's, then write Bilstein a long a$$ letter. Freakin guys! They owe me some bushings and anger management classes!!!

Hey Brew,
Last Fall, I had my rear shocks replaced and leafs re-bushed & re-banded. The shop I took it to is known more for their commercial truck service but alot of ppl with 1/2 tons + bigger go there, because of the service and pricing. Anyway's they recommended this heavy duty Monroe shock for the rears at a good price and said while it was torn down they will give me a decent price on the Monroe fronts. They had a part number specific for my F150 front shocks. I didn't do the fronts, it was leaving there for the body shop work. Needed all the $$$ I had set aside for that job.
Is there a reason you would have to measure for proper length. Have you done something to your truck to need a special length?
By the way, when my buddy at the Dealership seen the rears, he said they were Monroe's top shelf. He couldn't believe the price I got on them with installation. He was really impressed with the leaf spring job and pricing as well.
If you want, I can call for the part #'s for you.

These shocks are like new and the ride is great with the exception of the problems I'm having in the front.

When I first installed about two years ago - I hit a dip in the road a certain way and I'd get like a bobble. Didn't happen allot. Now I'm getting front wobble at a certain speed. To install the front - I needed stands under the frame rails and had to floor jack the bottom A-arm up just so I could get a bushing and nut on it. I don't recall ever doing that in the past and I freakin tossed my old shocks long ago, so I don't have nothing to compare to. Sucks

Let me try a few things before you go thru the trouble.

Thanks.

Woohoo i got 190 bucks Jbrew only 200 more for dyno tuning!!!

You know anyone who would wanna buy some 4.6L police interceptor parts?

There's nothing special about the interceptor - engine wise. - Or you would use it

Well, I picked up those shock extenders yesterday. I didn't take a pic of them, but I caught one in this pic, lower right hand corner -

They didn't fit, wrong thread pattern and wouldn't of worked anyway. So I went back out and picked up some different bushings for the top. Wider bushings. The urethanes I had on there weren't doin the job and were the problem this time. I tested last night and the shimmy is gone at 45 mph, I hope it lasts.

Hard to believe the bushings made the steering wheel jerk back and forth at 45 mph, but that was it.

Good thing you mentioned it, I am also about to have my rear shocks refilled. Just where exactly is that shop located? Thanks in advance.

Their heavy too, it's a dual stage so I don't burn wires. Pencils take to damn long - at least the ones I have. I burn wires when I get p^ssed and get the mini torch out.

This happened a couple times. I turn the key to start and the starter catches just for a second then nothing? Like I have a bad conection or something. ??

Went over it, I can't find nothing. It's only done it twice in the last month.

Funny thing is, when it happens, I pull the keys from the ignition and use the remote - fires right up

Sounds intake related. Try a different filter or NO filter lol. It's probably the IAC horn - The lack of.
