I live on land that has been in my family for over a hundred years. I actually own a swamp also. If your daughter ever wants to do some serious muddin.
We have what ya call gumbo down here. In hot summertimes when the swamp dries up, we ride quads in it. When we ride over the same spots several times, it actually turns to quicksand. But there are always Cypress knees to winch to.

Where have you decided to move to? I been wondering what is going on, but I've been spending a lot of time studying and arguing with the yahoos in the GD.

I'v heard that about the area, it's a shame when people have to uproot and leave. I've traveled quite abit, but when I came home from the Army I knew I'd never move from here again.

It's bad around here, when I go back to work - I have to go out of state, depending how far - I either drive back home or fly every three weeks for R&R. That's not to bad I guess - Wish things would pick up here tho.

Gettin her done , haven't had much time to work on her lately , but I should be finished with this part of the project this week-end. I'll check the compression after a couple hundred miles - as close to operating temp as I can get. Yea, I'll check it wet too. Then hopefully a tune, -depending on the numbers.

Guess I should mention - For those thinking of a LT install, if you don't have this factory adapter, it's going to be a b^tch getting the EGR pipe to seal. Personally, I didn't think this piece existed anymore. The dealership can't get them and I haven't seen any 3rd party suppliers carry them. My original was rusted so bad , I couldn't make out what it was suppose to look like.

A user (Delirium) from this site sent me one along with a spare set of valve/accumulator bodies for the trans. What a guy, didn't charge me a dime - Thanks again man ! Anyway, with his help - It made the EGR set up a catwalk. Nothing special needed, everything lined up perfectly. Here's some pics -

Only area I used compound is inside the TB - I use Dupli-Color -Grease and Wax Remover. Thats the only stuff I know of that actualy cleans what it touches. Stuffs awesome, - Only product that I know of that really does clean the MAF with no touchy touchy.

Idunno, it's just the camera maybe ? I replaced allot of stuff this time, maybe that's it. ?

Stuff I use is just paint prep basically. Does a good job - Shines without leaving an oily coat.

Well , she's got oil in her - getting some coolant tonight. Hope it fires up

Should sound different that's for sure. I have to force bleed the new brake lines with a vac tool after I heat them up to room temp. That's going to be fun @ 5 degrees F- nobodies going to be around to pump them up.

Jbrew you shoulda told me i woulda came by and helped you bleed the brakes i just got home not to long ago from grand valley....i think im still def man what a long borning ride on a sunday night....set the cruise at 80 when i got on and never had to take it off 150 miles doing 80 the whole way ahhh i love driving on sunday nights... i would have for sure stoped off and helped ya out.

Why is your engine always so clean? every single picture i see it looks brand new! Hey Jbrew since im to cheap to buy that EGR block off plate and my EGR tube fell off from the valve thingy im going to buy a bolt and put it were the tube should be to block it off...what size is that hole in the EGR? so i can buy the right bolt. Also is it bad for my truck to run with nothing blocking the EGR only made a really werid noise a few times but that was at really low Rpm's. Theres a house right behide mine for sale a few guys went in and fixed it up looks really good....and you'll always have someone to help ya bleed breaks in 5* weather

Last time I bleed the brakes, I used the power seat/ sawed off broom handle method

Up Top - The EGR valve, if still attached, -Takes a 3/4" garden hose cap. If it's detached, - I made a Block-plate you can have. You can also make one yourself fairly easy - Just trace your EGR valve onto a piece of aluminum or steel, - Widdle it out of their after drilling a couple holes.

Down below, use 3/4 pipe plug , BUT! You'll need a flat washer that fits the plug tight and one larger than the circumference of the port on the header or it will leak.

See that taper on the outside of the factory nipple pic I posted above ? Right where it threads in ? That nipple bottoms out on the taper? Without that taper it leaks. Thats why you'll need a washer as described above, - unless you happen to find a nipple like that one. I doubt you will.

Wanna run that little 4six ? Going to do a 0-100 run before I tune. You know where GM proving grounds is in Milford? Probably Thursday night.

i dont think ive ever been out to there i know were the proving grounds are for Ford down middlbelt in livonia. found out by my GPS my truck does 104 before i smack the rev limiter.

Should i get that plate from you or will just getting a cap do the same thing? also down on the headers i just got the 3/4 cap and it was one that had like a washer built onto the bolt i forget what those are called and ive ran my truck and felt all around the cap and it doesnt leak anything out. i drove my truck with the EGR unblocked and it didnt seem to do anything goofy only once when i frist started it at low RPM it was at about 600 RPM then all the sudden this loud BERRRRRRRRRR sound louder than my Exhuast and the RPMs shot up to 1,200rpm i hit the gas a lil and it went away but it scared the crap outta me i think that was the EGR opening lol.

How far away is the GM proving grounds from me?

Isn't that the transmission plant , thought it was close to Hienze Drive , Haggerty rd - Army tank and canon in front of the place?

I worked at Fords proving grounds for 2 1/2 years 02 -05 . That's in Dearborn next to Green field village.

GM is closer to me most likely. Google Earth GM PG's in Milford Mi and you'll get a birds eye view of the place.

Yea you can cap the valve, hell you use a regular PLASTIC garden hose cap up there. - No heat to speak of without the plumbing.

Just fired her up , hasn't been running in the last 3 months - She came right out of her coma. Now it's to quiet, I can't here the damn thing running with the hood shut.
