Built-

I have been following your build and all that I can say is
You have had a few bumps in the process but it seems that you are very satisfied with the results. Can anyone on here say 'sleeper' ????? lol.

H3ll, I'd probably go 3 ways on that. I'd like to get a baseline on mine. Been saying that for 2 years now.....
Will they rent it by the hour like that for us?

first time with new combo,
he will go 14's maybe a high 13.

as for the slicks, remember this, right now the week link is the tires, once you put on slicks the week link will be axles or ring gear. slicks and street cars dont alway play nice together especially if you are making a lot of power.

something like a drag radial would be a better option.

You would be surprised at what the stock stuff will hold up to.
He should have the same rear-end that I do.
9.75, stock axles, stock ford L/S dif with 4.10 gears. And Im running dot slicks and showing it no mercy!
Only thing I keep tearing out is the tranny. And I think I just fixed that problem.

14's??? Ok. I'm not worried about my rear end.

Built, I think BrotherDave has a point.

You haven't quartered this truck yet. You need to work on the launch, learn the track/traction relationship, etc, and I think your first few passes should be done conservatively just on principle to ensure everything's copacetic.

14's are nothing to be ashamed of buddy, for intial passes. I know you have the capability to go much faster, no need to rush into it.

Good luck.

Yea I tend to agree with that.
Be a shame to stab the wall on the first night.

So I got my wideband fixed and im seeing 10.3-10.4 at WOT. A little rich hu? I knew it was. Time for some more tweaking. Here is a little run, shifting too soon and no traction, but you get the point. A better launch, leaned out, and later shifts should really change things. Dont mind the boost gauge, I put tape over it because the led is so bright even dimmed, its not even funny, and it sux, it blinks when it goes into boost. I'm sending it back monday and getting a phantom 5701 to match the rest of them. digital just isnt as quick and accurate IMO
ok video coming soon, its taking a long time to upload

there is a guy on another forum with a turbo v6 running 12's with slicks and his 8.8 is holding up fine so your 9.75 should be okay
