Ford I hope you are listening. You make a solid truck with 2 drawbacks. The engine and transmission are no where near the rest of the competition, but I still bought one. Now, you lost me as a future customer on the customer service side of things, and the stupid policy you have regarding transmission replacements.
What is their tranny replacement policy? I know they should have a certain mileage buyback policy. Say maybe under 1000 miles if you have engine, tranny, or computer failures, they will exchange the vehicle. Thats funny, i have had all those failures under 600 miles.

Imagine if Ford totally replaced your truck at the beginning. You would be one happy camper right now, and would probably have been on here posting about how well you where being treated. Ford can't afford to let customer service go down the toilet.
Ford has lost my company as a loyal customer. This will be the last of 17 ford vehicles bought by my business. Sucks for them that i will be purchasing 5 new vans for our work van fleet. I guess GM will be getting our business from now on.
Some of you are saying, "like ford really cares about one customer." Well when i walk out of a lincoln dealer with 2 navigators that sticker at over $63,000 each, i think they should care.

I'm not a lawyer so take the following information as you wish. In Florida, the dealers must provide you a lemon law booklet at the time of purchase. Please read the booklet - it contains the rules of engagement for lemon buy backs. I believe there is a total limit the vehicle can be in the dealer's service for repair (30 days, not sure if it is consecutive or cumulative) and you have to give the dealer access and reasonable time to repair your vehicle, not to exceed 3 attempts for the same repair. There is a process you can follow but I do suggest you seek a lawyer for better guidance and plan of action. If you were not given a booklet, you should let your lawyer know about the missing lemon law book.
It sounds to me the manner in which Ford is attempting to repair your truck desires serious improvement. Best of luck.

I want Ford to buy my truck back so I can get a Nissan Titan or Toyota Tundra. I've given up on domestics. If you think about it though Toyota and Nissan are more American than the domestics. Toyota designed and built in Texas, and Nissan is completely designed and built in the USA. Each truck is probably 90% American made, and 10% from Japan.
Been to the plant, and you are way wrong dude, but not your fault they own the media
Toyota and Nissan have to pay their workers which goes directly to the American economy. The unions are sending the Big 3 toward bankruptcy. They have no choice but to built their vehicles outside of this country. This has lead them to design a pathetic driveline for our truck.
Sorry if I offended some people, but business is business these days. I want a truck that won't be in the shop every other week while the dealer makes excuses why they can't fix the problem. If Nissan or Toyota can provide that I'm sold on them.

Aw Snap! No, really - 20 Tundra camshafts are snapping and oop's their goes another Tundra crap

Tundra camshaft woes could lead to recall for Toyota $150,000,000.00 Recall

Hope your LT gets fixed ASAP if they give you a hard time call another dealer ASAP
At this point its not exactly the dealer screwing me over, its ford. They have been contacting complete strangers in different states thinking they were the owner of MY truck. Providing solutions and extending followups based on talking to some customer that has nothing to do with my truck.
This was my reply from another post. Since it's about the same subject.
I've owned tons of cars from all makes including Jap, German, and American.
Out of the Ford Products I've owned:
1) 83 Escort - 103k on the clock sold while still running perfect. 5 Speed manual never replaced stock clutch.
2) 87 Escort GT - 145K on the clock ran perfect- Traded in for 87 Cutlass Supreme V8 which ended up a complete POS with under 80k.
3) 1993 Ranger 3.0L V6 = Drove to 130k with no problems sold to one of my friends still on the road to this day.
4) 1994 Thunderbird 4.6L V8 - Fully loaded all leather all power options. Drove till 130k - no problems - Sold to a friend - another still on the road to this day.
5) 1995 Thunderbird 4.6L V8 - Another full loaded machine - no problems after 45k sold for another ford.
6) 1997 Mustang Cobra 4.6L V8 - Still own, 37k - was supercharged at one point, sprayed a few bottles of N²O through it. 0 problems.
7) 2003 Cobra 4.6L V8 factory supercharged - Pullied, 460RWHP, 490ft Tq - multiple 1/4 mile runs. Hard driven miles compared to many f150 V8s - ran perfect. 0 problems.
8) 1990 Mustang GT - Fully build 5.0L V8 - supercharged, heads, cam, intake.. Although this is my baby with very low mileage - the car has been perfect.
Pics in my Gallery.
9) 2003 Eddie Bauer Explorer - V8 4.6L - 57k on the clock, no problems to date, still own and is driven daily.
10) 2005 F150 5.4L - 30k on the clock. Daily driven 0 problems to date.
So as you can see from the 80s until now I've owned 10 different Fords all with different motors all driven differently. I've experienced 0 major problems with any of them. So is it just luck? I don't know but until Ford actually lets me down on something I'm not going to bash any of their products. I still currently own four of the Fords on the above list. I've been very happy with all of them and their build quality. If I wasn't, I'd be driving something else.
On a side note: If Toyota or any other brand car for that matter never failed they wouldn't have a need for service departments. And from my extensive knowledge of cars and having friends in the business I can tell you that there are many dealerships are held a float BECAUSE of their service departments.
If you think other manufactures are perfect, you are highly mistaken. As for dealership experiences... you can go to 10 different service departments and get treated 10 different ways. It's not FORD its the dealerships for the most part. I personally know my local ford service manager and if I did ever have a problem I know for a fact that I'd have a loaner car and I'd have whatever problem repaired.

Some people are just unlucky I guess.

i agree that i am one of the unlucky few that have to deal with this. With that said though, why should i, or anyone for that fact have to deal with multiple repair attempts on a BRAND NEW vehicle. I only got to enjoy the truck one day since i bought it back on may 14th. The other two times i drove, it either developed problems or broke down.
This really sucks , I've owned allot of Fords and friends have also enjoyed their Fords . Haven't come across something like this.
I hope they take care of yuh - they really should.
Good luck ...

Well today makes 22 days at the dealer. I just got off the phone with the parts dept, and wouldnt you guess. No engine. The parts manager laughed and said "well thats shipping, its on the back of a semi somewhere, hahahaha." Maybe its just me, but i fail to see any humor in all of this.
Its amazing how much easier it would've been to just get a replacement truck shipped to the dealer. Way to go FORD on your excellent customer service. Maybe i should start running my business this way, and maybe i'll become rich like these people. Good idea?

Sounds like the wrong persons calling the shots in this case. I had a perdiciment in 2000 with my 98 . It was a simple fluids change and the service tech walked off the job after lunch .
My truck was considered finished without replacing the oil in the motor. Well I got about 1/2 mile before it went and I was able to drive it back with a blown motor , barley made it.
They replaced the motor but not the heads. I lost my cool over that and accidently broke the lower glass out of there showroom door.
Bad move, I ended up in court and that cost me more than replacement heads. I had to take anger managment classes as well
I did get a new set of heads tho.
