Another LEMON!!!
Have you called Ford yourself yet. There is an 800 no in the owners manual. Call them and tell them whats going on. Ford generally tells you to pull a pcm of a new running truck to try first. Better than that is that they also sometimes have you put the old pcm in another truck to see if it runs the same incase there is a short that screwed it up to begin with.
yes i have been on the phone many times with ford now. They actually sent notice of me requesting a buyback or replacement trick to the dealer. But the dealer is refusing to do that until they have fixed it three different times, or if the truck is in their possesion for consecutive 30 days.
The service manager refused to touch another truck on the lot to try to fix mine. So i called the owner of the dealership, Paul Osman, who also told me they wouldnt touch another truck. Funny though, because they completely ripped out the streering column and rack out of a navigator on the lot to try and fix our 04 lemon navigator.

well they have supplied me with a rental car. First it was a mercury mariner, second was a town car, and now a chrysler sebring. Neither of which serves me any purpose or use in getting 100+ gallons of paint daily to my employees. So i am losing money by the day work wise, not to mention a payment being due and car insurance for the month.
Officially, its Ford who buys them back and not the dealer. Call Ford back and request an Field Engineer to look at it. If the dealer can't repair it, they are suppose to make this call, but sounds like they are a bunch of morons. Sorry about your problems, I am a Ford tech at a small dealer (4 techs altotgher) and I know how things can happen. Sounds like they are trying to make money on the easy stuff and skipping the hard ones. That the way some dealers work.
As of wednesday Ford told me that Osman has the ultimate say in whether they would buy it back. They have 2-5 business days to do so. That means they could drag their feet until wensday of next week. But, the owner of Osman lincoln already said he is denying the request. It didnt fall under a buy back yet because they havent fixed it 3 times for the same issue yet, or it hasnt been in for 30 days yet. They went ,from thinking it was tranny related with the epc selenoid. Then the cam sensor was bad, to now the computer isnt working properly. So i guess they keep fixing something different everytime just to save their a**.
Being a tech, shouldnt they have same day shipped the new pcm so they could've atleast tryed it before another weekend went by? I think they are stalling because they have no idea whats going on with it.

Today i finally got enterprise to give me a truck as a rental now. They gave me a dodge ram quad cab, with only a 4.7. I understand that the f150 is programmed to tow, but its kinda sad when this ram with the small v8 would walk all over it. I want my mark lt back, but atleast i have a truck with some ***** to drive for now.
So when ford agrees to make my payment for this month, the dealer can glady have the truck the thirty days till its eligible for lemon law or buyback. I was told it is the same thing.

Sounds like a nightmare, the kind of nightmare I'd never expect with a new car.
I normally buy my trucks used, with a good service record detailing preventative maintenance and such. Know what I'm getting in to and prepared to fix it and stick with it. If a big failure happens, I've saved enough in the purchase price that I can cover the problem(in most cases).
If I did waltz in and buy me a new truck(almost did this last time 0% was tempting) and had these kinds of troubles, I'd go off on the service manager like an A bomb.
My wife's cars we always buy new, we've never had anything like this happen, and any troubles we've had were handled by the Dealer quickly and professionally. Granted they needed a little nudge from time to time but normally just "Let me speak to the Service Manager or General Manager." and the wheels of justice started rolling.....
I think your troubles are being handled all wrong by the dealer, and I think that if you made a ton of noise up the food chain at ford(daily calls, "Let me speak to YOUR supervisor then" & "I feel I need to seek legal representation in this matter, I'll call a lawyer, you'll hear from them soon." threats etc) they'd not be so quick to back the dealer and tell you to get bent. The dealer should at least act like they value your biz, ford should at least act like your brand loyalty means something to them. Nobody likes to buy a $40k paperweight.
Mind you that I love ford trucks, an old F150 was my first truck and if the trend continues it'll be a ford truck I'm driving till I'm too old to do it anymore. But I say that easily because I've never had any problem like yours. I might feel different if my problems were handled like that.
Hope it all works out for you, I see a buy back in your future, too bad you're having to wait a month though(that's insane man).

Thanks for your support T. I have called for many times now. Actually the first time i called, i spoke with a supervisor, (Guy Potter was his name), and after i told him about my experience on I95, he said it sounds like they need to just put you in a different truck. But, the dealer doesnt want to make its service department look bad by sending another vehicle back to ford for us. Im sure it makes the service dept look bad if they cant fix these vehicles. What i dont understand though, its ford putting out the lemon, not the dealer. The service dept shouldnt have to lose time and money, and i shouldnt have to be without my $45,000 truck while they try to figure out the problem.
For granted i know the new vehicle warrenty states they must diagnose and fix the problem. But i think there should be a certain mileage point to where this should start. Because at 500 miles and major problems like this, i shouldnt have to with 30 days for them to declair this truck a lemon. I have given them 15 days already, and they dont know what is wrong with it. If i brought them an 05 with this problem i would expect to have to wait to find the problem but not on a brand new truck, while my two trades are still sitting on the lot.

Years ago I traded in a 72 Pinto for a Ranger and they gave me 500 bucks for it. About a month later I saw it on some other used car lot and they fixed up alot of minor things wrong with it. They wanted 500 for it, I almost bought it back cause they proably put a couple hundred into it and it looked really nice.
Who know's maybe you'll get your old rides back in better condition if they haven't been sold

My old rides were an 03 lariat fx4 screw with full video system including 7" indash, 2 7" headrests, and 15" flipdown. 1 memphis 10" m1 sub in a ported box, 5 1/4 kickpanel pods, 8" seperates in front doors, 6 1/2" sererates in rear doors, front center channel under indash moniter, and a rear center in the expedition console. Memphis 350x2 on the pods and fronts, memphis 500x4 on the rears and centers, and memphis 500x1 on the sub. Dual battery setup with redtop and yellowtop. On the exterior 20x10 helo maxx 6 with 305/55 20 nitto terra. Removed all stickers and stripes and applied 04 emblems. Jason hard tonnaeu cover, and pioneer reverse camera.
The other ride was an 04 navigator all stock, but factory nav, dropdown dvd, monochromatic black ultimate package, and electric running boards.
So if they are going to make them better somehow, i would love to see that happen.
as i typed this, damn i made a mistake getting rid of the 03. They did give me 21,700 for it and i only owed 12,000, so i made out. I guess not seeing i have only gotten to drive the mark lt 3 times since may 14th.

I feel your pain, I'm dealing with a Lemon Law situation right now. I've had my transmission rebuilt 3 times already on my 2006 F150 4X4 CC Lariot with 16,700 miles on it. It's going to the shop this Thursday for the 4th time regarding the same problem I've had since it had 6,000 miles on it.
Ford needs to pay more attention to the customer. I've made a choice to buy a Ford product, how about try and keep me as a customer with good customer service.
I've had to practically beg for a rental car when my transmission was getting rebuilt on all 3 occasions. I wasn't given a rental car that equaled my truck. Always a POS Ford Focus with no options at all except an automatic transmission.
This is the dealer's last chance to fix the problem, if they can't I can start the Lemon Law process in Texas. Now I'm not even considering keeping this truck past 100,000 miles. I've lost all confidence in my truck and Ford.
I saw a post where a 2007 Tundra went to the shop with a transmission problem. Toyota flew engineers to the dealer to look at the problem and during this time the guy was given a brand new Tundra as a loaner truck. Toyota replaced his transmission and they guy couldn't be happier. Toyota probably even took that transmission and thoroughly examined it to find the true cause of the problem.
NOW, thats what I call service on Toyota's part. Ford needs to get with the program.

Sorry to hear about your luck. Yeah ford is definetly dropping the ball when it comes to customer service these days. If and when you do .have to file the lemon law on it. Just be aware that you will have to pay some out of pocket to get that new truck. One of our 04 navigators was lemon lawed at 2500 miles for steering issues. We had to pay $1500 out of pocket, as ford said it was due to depriciation. I call it just F**king us more.
