I might have some resolution to my problem as well. The dealer got serious about trying to fix my problem and called some engineers from Ford to look at the problem. They found an out of spec piston housing in the transmission. I'll know more when I get the service report next week. So, mine was never right from the factory.

I'm glad you'll finally be getting a new truck. It's still pretty sad that they didn't try and do the right thing to start with though.

The dealer has received the papers for the reaquirement of my truck, so now i have to just wait till they can convince another dealer to give up the identical truck or ford will have to build one. The zone rep that approved the replacement said that i would have to drive the fixed truck until the replacement came in. Well the dealer had the engine tues 6-19 and i was supposed to be driving it on thur 2-21. On thursday at 2pm they still hadnt started the swap. At 3 pm they started working on it and said i would have it back friday night. Friday at 1 pm they had a couple hours left, and at 5 pm they werent going to have it ready. They said saturday morning it would be ready. I stopped in to pick it up at 12:30 saturday morning and it was still in pieces and the tech went home after lunch instead of finishing the truck. At this rate i will have the replacement before they are even able to finish an engine swap.

Isnt it possible to install an engine in less than 6 days?

Takes maybe 2 days tops to swap it out and have it done right, of course i oull the cabs off of em too.... You also have to take in effect that the tech is probably so tired of looking at your truck, that he no longer cares if it ever moves.....

wow what a nightmare you've been through. I wouldn't have been so generous as to even thank ford for stepping up after all they put you through! not a chance in hell.

All I can say is I'm glad I got a low mileage '03.

Wow man..I guess my driver side mirror vibrating like a cold, wet dog isn't much of a problem..no wonder cust. service tells me it's within Ford specs....they have bigger problems to deal with than not being able to see if someone is comming along side of ya...good luck
