lol. yeah my 4.6 is a turd. i pulled my friend out of a goo hole and then stuck my front tires in it. i sank up to the tow hooks. i had to nail it in reverse 4-lo to get out lol. i cant imagine what the s/c 5.4 will do... im scared

With a Supercharge 5.4L you could of went forward instead, right into that mud hole. Put it in 4 high, then just push the pedal down to empty it

Hey Jbrew try this one out....



well i was gonna do a 4.6 > 5.4 but couldnt find any smaller 5.4 badges on the internet (google and ebay) I guess that means no one really wants to show off their 5.4s

brew, i have 1/3 tread life on my all terrain tires. im scared! lol

Darton Wet Sleeved 4.6 to a 324ci motor. stock cobra blower, heads and cams.
he made 510 RWHP and 560RWTQ @10PSI with 15 degree of total timing. thats more than the 5.4L GT500 makes with different cams better flowing heads. more boost and a larger blower... 4.6> 5.4

HI!... Or you could make a 330 (5.4L) into a 358c.i using the same set-up and make more H.P/TQ..................

Paul's point is that on stock cobra heads/cams/blower, on a bored 4.6 is putting more power down then a GT 500 does with upgraded from the factory heads/ cams/ and upgraded blower.

And boring out a 5.4 is kinda defeating the purpose since a 5.4 is an already bored out 4.6.....

Hey fella's, I purchased some more COP's and injectors, PS pump, AC compressor off a dude on ebay - The stuff came off a 4six crate motor and I threw a bid on this because I didn't have to pay shipping with everthing combined. Hell!, I can't use it, anybody need one ?

Well what's it worth to yuh ? It comes with all the TB sensor IAC and EGR -

Ill give yuh a great deal if you make me an awesome sig..

I thought that both engines had the same bore?????

It won't bolt onto a truck intake.

HI!... Actually your wrong. A 5.4 is NOT a bored out 4.6. The 4.6 and 5.4 use the same bore of 3.552. Both engines use the same piston diameter. The 5.4 is stroked with a taller deck height than the 4.6.

- 4.6L STROKE = 3.543

- 5.4L STROKE = 4.165

- 4.6L ROD LENGTH = 5.9331

- 5.4L ROD LENGTH = 6.6575

Idunno , I didn't attempt it seeing how the IAC and EGR are in different locations and throttle plate linkage hookups are different. I wasn't looking to replace mine - that item just kind of got thrown in.. The part Numbers even differ on the TPS , so I can't use anything , unless I want the new bolts lol..
