I couldn't agree more, I think they have the answer it's just a matter of when. It makes me chuckle when some members bash other "better" brands, and I use better because on paper the Tundra is a better truck. It's almost like they are intimidated.......

The more competition the better! Hopefully Nissan steps it up so the "Big 3" have to bring their best to the table. ( it's not the big 3 anymore )

And who benefits? Me! Now all I need is 40-50k to purchase one!

True that JMC and SMIGGS, I'm still lookin for an 03 F150 to mess around with, I'm saving my pennies.
I'll prolly have to get a second mortgage for the new 150 when it comes out, so atleast I'll be able to write some of it off lol. The kids getting the 98.
My minds been made up there , sooo, whistel whistel whistling waiting it out..lol

I figure I will keep my Expy around for my boys. By that time it will be a cake walk to work on it compared to the motors they will have out in 2021!

So hopefully gas doesn't hit 8 bucks a gallon by then!

The Ford newer 4 w/od clicks in no pause , so thats got me thinking Toyo's are going to have trans probs when they start getting some miles behind them. Toyoto's first attempt for costumer interest might be a good one and it's prolly detoured some minds like yours, that was there "Marketing" goal - Personaly , I don't think it will last..It is nice haveing a new truck Ube , hope it lasts for yuh..

huh?..

at what point did anyone here discribe how the shift feels on my 6 speed?

how it shifts depends on how i drive it..
if im easy (easy being never letting the engine get above 2,000 rpms)
she shifts smoother then the 150.
if im gettin on it ( getter up to 2500 or more rpms.) the shifts become real firm..

Toyo new wtf they we're doing when they made the drive train..

5.7L + 6 speed + 4.30 L/S rear end + 10.25'' ring gear = high 14 quarter miles and 0-60 in the low 6's and still able to get 20 mpg highway ...

hittin like i knew what the hell i was doin! 2nd gear scratch with a 4.6 and 35" tires at WOT. it hits firm and fast. basically, GREAT! i think it will handle the built 5.4L just fine.

i did not line the main valve up with the shift linkage... der whoops... but now it shifts progressively. fast but soft enough at low rpms, increasingly firmer with more rpms. at 4k it lunges... 5k it scratches the rubbers
